Good Morning Everyone,
I am up early , washing in laundrette, still dark outside but cold,
Mick
Morning All. Morning Mick, you were up early - I expect you've finished at the laundrette and are back now with your feet up and the Sunday papers!
It's dawning bright and clear here. There's a light breeze moving the plants in the garden - and they look sort of stiff. There's a sheen on the road too to indicate the gritters should have been round (but haven't been). Woe betide anyone trying to cross!
Luckily we can stay put today.
Have a good day Everyone.
Perched here high on the hill I can see snow everywhere. I don't think there is any chance of getting out today which is a great shame as it would be a rare opportunity to see my grandchildren. The plan is for me to move into yet another temporary home tomorrow but I cannot see how that's going to happen unless the snow goes.
If there's no more snow perhaps the roads will be clear for you Silver. Fingers crossed.
Yep, done washing get up early on Sundays to do it, can be busy later, then back to room or should I say bedsit type flat, looks its dry but maybe cold with ice in places.
Breakfasted with coffee, always do scrambled egg on toast at weekends using the whisk in the frying pan to scramble the eggs c/w toast and coffee, having a red pepper ketchup on the eggs as well.
Mick
I was up early too Mick but sadly haven't been as industrious as you. It looks as though we have had some snow overnight which has now frozen, the pavements look treacherous so I hope it will be DH on the dog walk this morning. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.
Hi all - I'm an early riser - always have been. It's nice to log on to Gransnet and see that others are up and about. It's cold here in the W. Country but so far no snow but early morning patches of ice which you have to watch out for.
Glanced out through a chink in the bedroom curtains and thought it had been snowing; turned out to be a neighbour's white van.
Good morning all. No snow in East Sussex. Calm and grey here but I don't know the temperature. Stocked up the bird feeders yesterday so everything fed. The Jackdaws love the fat balls.
Good morning from Cheshire! It's going foggy and there is a covering of snow on the road and warnings of icy roads.
OMG I have just seen a rat in next doors front garden! Yuk!
Grey and dull here in mid Essex but no frost and only a light breeze. I will be chatting to DD in Cumbria later to see how they are faring weatherwise.
Happy day everyone.
I've been up for 2 hours and have sat looking at my computer since then. It's my daughter's birthday today, so tonight we will be minding her three year old while she and her husband go out for dinner. Hubby and i are going out for Sunday lunch. We're just trying to decided where to go. It has snowed overnight, but doesn't look like the roads will be bad.
Good morning all. I am later than usual but gave myself a treat with an extra few hours in bed. Looking out of my windows, I am watching the snow falling, and covering everything in a soft white carpet. I intend going to see me Dad today, but he is 22 miles away. I will have to check the weather reports before I go, that is if I can get out of my house.
Morning all.
I went to the bathroom just before 7 went back to bed telling myself I'd get up when it was light. Next thing I know it's. 9.15
We didn't get the dusting of snow they forecast but looking at the sky I'd say it might still happen.
It's damp and very still at the moment.
Not too bad mixture of cloud and sunshine to day in north essex we did have rain in the night have a good day
Woke up to dollops of snow thudding past the windows but it's suddenly stopped and seems brighter now. DH brought tea and I'm having a bath run for me. This the life.
No snow here in Manchester, but rather misty. Had a bit of a lie in this morning and I should now be doing my French homework in preparation for my class tomorrow morning instead of pootling about on here. I was going to do it last night but got caught up with watching Spiral on TV. I have a friend coming for dinner tonight so I really need to shift myself but I've got my retired head on today, if you know what I mean.
Whoop whoop I slept in this morning to about 7.30 then went back to sleep till 9.30 Its so rare. I am thrilled and feel like a teenager. It meant I missed Andrew Marr but it's worth it. It looks cold and damp here Kent. Have a good Sunday Mick and everyone. Mick I misread your post as putting whisky in frying pan to scramble the eggs. I was about to invite myself to breakfast at yours next weekend
any excuse for a drop of alcohol sounds good to me.
Good morning, there was a severe frost at 8.45 but by the time I had been to the bathroom and looked out it was completely gone. I have never seen a temperature change as fast as that. We are now having light snow showers with drizzle in between. DS rang to say they all have this virus again and the snow is lying so if I want to stay home it is fine. DH is going down with the virus too so we are staying put, soup and warm bread for lunch and then a couple of DVDs will take care of the afternoon.
Ooops! I'm only just making it "Good morning!". My excuse is that we have snow, and it's been quite foggy so far, which makes me want to stay in my pjs( yes I've still got them on)
It's definitely a lazy day for me
Happy Sunday!
Turned out nice here in the W Country. Sun shining and not really cold. It will be a chilly night I think because the skies are crystal clear.
