This morning I received an email purporting to be from Pay Pal saying I had made a purchase yesterday and giving me the details for rather a lot of money. 'If it was incorrect I should contact them via the details below'. I'd actually been having some real difficulties with buying something from Ebay and in the process mucked up my Pay Pal account.
I rang Pay Pal and finally managed to get through - I read it to them and they told me it was a spoof and to report it to their fraud department.
How to tell if this email is a spoof - it says 'Dear Pay Pal user'
Don't click on any links but contact Pay Pal to report it. Luckily I knew I hadn't made any expenditure yesterday.

They're all creeps! Just this minute had a phone call from a gentleman (from afar), who is very concerned about something that's wrong with my computer. I put on a wavery voice and said that this sort of thing was very worrying for me, as I'm an old lady.....and he launched into an explanation of what could happen if he didn't help me sort my computer out. I had to butt in and tell him that someone was trying to break in at my back door - and that I had to phone for help....
