Up to now, seeing 2 under 3s revelling in the magic of Christmas! And my new address book - the old one is full of crossings out because people have moved, got married, got divorced or died!

New Lowry print for the space above my piano just waiting for it! (DH is usually a bit slow on recognising hints so this was a lovely surprise) Happy Christmas one and all! tchsmile

pompa Thu 25-Dec-14 09:17:38

Is that the print or the piano you are waiting for?

AlieOxon Thu 25-Dec-14 09:46:00

Phone call from my, rather inebriated, brother in Australia and online chats with my great nieces!!

I've been so spoilt this year! A self made hamper filled with carefully selected bath relaxation goodies, including a book, very fancy set of artisan vinegars made from various East Sussex berries, and a smart watch.

Merry Christmas all.

I'm now having my first power nap of the day... tchsmile

Not the most expensive of my pressies but I knew more or less what I was getting, from DH and DD so the George Ezra CD from DS was the best as it was a complete surprise.

DGS was completely underwhelmed by his new bike we bought him tchsad

Grannyknot Thu 25-Dec-14 16:08:59

I love George Ezra.

Rose and violet cream chocolates not for sharing in fact can't wait for everyone to go home when I will then indulge in an eating fest oh and a new diary to record my inner most thoughts ....also not for sharing.

My name in the box isn't as ghostly anymore!

The one that made me happiest was probably the first self-bought with his own money Christmas present from my son. He remembered a year ago that I had wanted to see Sunshine on Leith, but was poo-pooed by DBH, so he bought it for me on DVD.

However I really love the necklace and earrings that DBH bought me. I have been looking for a set in the palest aquamarine or eau-de-nil, and he finally found a beautiful set.

My favourite present is a painting I saw in a Norfolk gallery back in August and couldn't afford to buy it. I described it to DH but when we went to see it, it had gone, I was so disappointed. Well today there it was under the Christmas tree, I was amazed and delighted as DH doesn't often surprise me like this.

This was the first year my Grandaughter bought both grandad and myself a Christmas present with her own money, earned with her Saturday job picked wrapped and given by her own hand.

Lona Fri 26-Dec-14 11:22:26

Best present was bought by dd for dgd, a selfie stick for her mobile!
We took so many lovely photos of all of us together, and a time lapse video of our Christmas lunch that is hilairious!

After 2 children and another on the way + a stepdaughter, DS and his partner have announced their engagement! He'd set up lights asking 'Marry me' in their garden. So romantic. At last I will be able to buy a hat!

We had a lovely FaceTime yesterday with our grandchildren in the Falklands, then today some photos of the event. So lovely to see them happy and settled even if we do miss them. On a practical level I got a new computer!

6 bottles of elderflower wine that DH had been secretly brewing. With personalised labels. Unfortunately it is too young to drink yet! We had to make do with champagne tchgrin

John Denver on CD box set. I haven't been able to listen to his music since I got rid of all my old LP's when my record player broke.
Here's a one of his:-
I'll sing you a song of Spiro Agnew,
And all the things he's done!!
tchgrin

Time - my son is usually with mates or new girlfriend or on his computer but yesterday he gave me his time, all day. We spent a wonderful relaxing day doing a new jigsaw puzzle I got, had a lovely meal, watched soaps together (which he usually hates and complains loudly about but stayed quiet instead). I had the best Christmas Day that I have had for years, I didn't want it to finish. I was glowing with warmth and relaxing love. Still feeling croc so very happy I spent it with my darling son and my beautiful animals. tchsmile
