Morning Michael and everyone. Happy Christmas Eve, I'm turning over for a few more zzzzz's- it's cold and dark!

baubles Wed 24-Dec-14 07:13:31

Good morning Mick and everyone. Dark, cold, wet, and quite windy hereabouts.

Hope you all have a peaceful day.

Good morning all!
Too dark to see so back to bed with the papers and cup of coffee for me.

Wet at the moment here in N.Staffs, hoping it will clear up before the dog walk. Still have one or two (dozen) presents to wrap, so must get a shuffle on. Have a calm and happy Christmas Eve everyone.

Good morning all!

The only thing I can say for sure is that it's dark here in North Leicestershire!

A day of peeling, chopping and stuffing today!

Enjoy your Christmas Eve everyone! wine

Good morning from East Sussex. Still dark but it's not raining and quite warm.
Had dental op yesterday, it was much more brutal than I expected.
A very happy Christmas to EVERYONE

Wet here in North Essex, but it looks like it's clearing. Going to get colder throughout the day according to forecast.
It's 8am and I have already been covered in stickers by over excited 3 year old DGS. Teenage son will sleep until lunch and everyone else is working.... Merry Christmas!

Good morning everyone. Shopping all done! We went after work and got everything we need before the crowds come out.
It is a lovely morning in Northumberland. Rain all gone and now we have blue sky, fluffy white clouds and sunshine.

Merry Christmas everyone. [tchsunshine]

Good morning all. A very nice morning here in Stockport for a change, the last few days have been horrible. I have been told though, by the only one who has stuck a nose through the door that is cold. I am so organised with only two of us for the whole week that I am meeting a friend for coffee this morning. Good luck to you all racing round to get things done, I envy you and wish it was me.

Think it might brighten up soon, phoenix! There is sunshine catching the tops of the trees over this way. Let's hope.

(Good morning, everyone)

ffinnochio Wed 24-Dec-14 09:43:11

Wishing you Mick, and all Good Morningers a peaceful and very Merry Christmas!

There's a v. chilly wind outside, swirling the fog. Not nice.

PRINTMISS Wed 24-Dec-14 09:43:20

Good morning everyone, our son's birthday today, so off to the Pantomime (we are just big kids really). Parcels to wrap and general tidying up before the big day tomorrow, when of course we shall be on our own, so it will not matter whether I tidy up or not! We enjoy the festive season, and all that goes with it. Enjoy your days

Its clear blue sky's now in Brackley.

Good morning everyone, a blanket of cloud hiding the sun at the moment. As the forecast is good it will hopefully burn off soon. phoenix I think it's a virus! I seem to have caught it myself. tchgrin
Along with all the other bits and pieces to do today, DS has emailed to say that that I that he is getting random messages purportedly from me and I need to sort out my inet fingerprints and get some decent security. I thought I had confused and not being very tech minded don't really know where to start. sigh..

Grannybug Wed 24-Dec-14 10:04:16

appygran Wed 24-Dec-14 11:04:35

Good morning from West Cheshire where it is bright and sunny if a bit on the cold side.

Nothing to do today except meet some friends for lunch. Looking forward to spending the holiday with family but feeling a little redundant as children are doing all the Christmas entertaining and hence all the last minute work. I did offer to help but was firmly told that they have it covered. I guess this in another life cycle change I must learn to embrace.

Have a good Christmas Eve everyone.

It was a beautiful sunrise here in Manchester. Normally, I wouldn't see it, but I had just collected the turkey and was crossing the road to the French patisserie to collect my buche de Noel (not often you can work that into a sentence) when I was amazed to see a wonderful, rosy sunrise.

Nelliemoser Wed 24-Dec-14 11:43:33

Good Afternoon from (South) East Cheshire. Since the government in its infinite wisdom split up the county.

I did all the chopping and preparing last weekend when we "did" Christmas. I feel very flat now just me and him and he's no use for a bit of company.

I will join anyone on GN feeling isolated tomorrow.

janerowena Wed 24-Dec-14 11:45:39

It's a beautiful warm sunny day here in north-west Suffolk. Shopping all finished and put away, one more present to wrap, tonight's dinner all sorted out because all of us are singing in a local hotel in the late afternoon/early evening to raise money for charity. DS only back from Uni yesterday so had to have his arm twisted especially when he discovered that it would involve a bow tie, but if he doesn't sing occasionally he will lose his voice.

I am rejoicing in the fact that at long last I have been able to put the boxes of cards and bags of wrapping paper away. They have been out for longer than the xmas decorations, taking up space and looking untidy.
