I'm posting this because I generally post really gloomy stuff about my mother, the idiot etc.
I've posted about my 'oldest' friend on here and talked about her lymphoma, her reaction to the treatment and her subsequent/consequent shingles!!
She is feeling quite depressed at the moment because, for various health issues relating to her DH, they will not be seeing either of her sons or her one DGC over Christmas.
I've just answered the door to her DH who presented me with a beautiful poinsettia and a plate of fabulous home made cakes 'just for me' as they are gluten free.
How lovely of her to think of me when she is so fed up. And I can't have a flipping cake as I am off to see the hygienist in a minute!

. However, their smiles soon waned because an old woman sitting opposite them took it upon herself to say to them "Well, that was rather cheeky of you!" They looked surprised and one hesitantly said "Excuse me ...?" Which was when I piped up(couldn't help myself) and said to her "There was no cheek going on here, all I saw was an act of kindness!" Sour old
