Good morning all, yes, dull and grey here too, after a lovely day yesterday, although the washing did not get dry, but there, we can't have everything, can we. Not a lot planned, feel a bit better today. Enjoy your days.

Morning all another dull and dank day in East Sussex.
For the first time in years I bought a real Xmas tree. It's growing in a pot and I got it from Sainsburys. It's small but at £10 should give a few years of enjoyment. So spent yesterday evening making small tree decoration. Am I mad

Teetime I've got a man who wants nothing too so throughout the year I try and spot what he might need rather than want. For example I've got him a new credit card holder secreted away - his old one is falling to pieces. If all else fails I get him comestibles e.g. chilli chutney (I don't like chilli but he does). Our gifts tend to be token ones and that's fine by me.

On the whole though, we get things we need, as the need arises. Apparently I need a new vacuum cleaner (what happened to "we"?) so he researched "Which", spent ages online and ordered one which is due to come today.

teetime - There is a useful web site called Not on the High Street which has a large range of unusual gifts and which might be useful for ideas for all sorts of people. I have got my youngest daughter, who is a very keen cook, a box of herbs and spices with personalised labels.

Yesterday we had our 2nd frost of the season, but this morning dull and breezy and somewhat milder.

Off with a friend for lunch today, might go to a local garden centre and look at Christmas decs.
