Dry and calm here in East Sussex but much colder. It was a porridge morning.
The Ash tree next door dropped all its leaves into our garden yesterday in the wind. They will take some raking up.

A wonderful sunrise here this morning. Don't know how chilly it is but the heating has come on - set at 18C for daytime, as per new government instruction - so it probably is quite chilly outside.

I hope everyone survived the dying Gonzalo without damage. He'd pretty much run out of oomph by the time he reached us.

Off into town today to help plant up the tubs in the town square. Wallflowers this winter with grasses and bulbs.

As phoenix has already said! the wind has dropped, thank goodness.

Orthopaedic surgeon this morning, to push for discuss hip replacement. Actually, it should be OK, because when I had the knee done I got to choose which to replace first, so the hip is definitely done for.

I am having a crisis I tried a money transfer to the tiler for my kitchen and my mind has gone a total blank on my pin. I think I entered the one for the other card.

Feeling like a total ejit. I need to calm down and relax it's sort of coming back to me now. Panic ensuing.

It's a dry but cold start to the day in my corner of Northumberland. My sister is on holiday this week, so it's my turn to go to Dad's to do his housework and make him lunch. He still enjoys his food, and eats well, so it's a pleasure to cook for him.

Nelliemoser�� did the same last week in a supermarket and felt a real sense of panic when after two attempts I still couldn't remember my pin! Fortunately had cash so paid and drove home wondering if this was a significant point in the ageing process!

Good morning from a sunny north east. Wind seems to have died down a bit, it was a noisy night.
DH off to the Dentist to get a crown fitted and then we are off to Glasgow for two days.

I know where your leaves are PRINTMISS Our front door is set back from the rest of the house with an open 'porch' about 8' x 6' and we had to practically dig our way out through the leaves this morning - which is why I'm late reporting!!

The wind has calmed down here and the sky is blue with quite a bit of sun and some fluffy clouds. It's so nice that I've turned the heating down to 17 - will we all die?
