Good morning from a sunny Cheshire.

I am glad someone else is awake. I woke up at 5am and could not get back to sleep feel like S* now. At least there is the world service at 5amtokeep me company.

The sun is shining in NW London. An improvement from yesterday's very heavy rain and thunder.

Morning Mick and all! Another lovely morning here and forecast to get hot this afternoon then cooler from tomorrow. I like the sunshine but it's been a bit too hot, especially trying to sleep.

A quiet day planned today - watching the Tour de France penultimate day this afternoon and just pootling and pottering otherwise.

Lovely sunshine here in the Thames Valley. Off for a picnic at Cliveden and to show our great nephew 10 the enormous slide. I hope he doesn't want me to go on it.

Morning all it's a nice day in my daughters town in Surrey. Got woke up as usual by the very noisy chickens in next doors garden. This is the last visit I'll do to this house they are moving in early August and the next time I visit it will be to a new house. It's a bit sad but good for them. I'll be amusing small grandchildren whilst sorting is being done. Hope everyone else has a nice day

It's a lovely start in North Leicestershire again today and, apart from a little wander into the village, we have nothing planned until we meet one of my brothers and his wife for a meal this evening!

Cloudy and a cool breeze in East Sussex although the temperature is already 19c. Having the builders shortly for an estimate for a proper roof. I'm sure it won't be a simple job!

That's for the conservatory. The house had a proper roof.

Played my best ever round of golf yesterday in blistering het so hoping for a handicap change- tonight the Golf Club Summer Ball- DH says 'its going to be Hell'.

Overcast first thing here, but now the sun is burning through. As the wind is nice and light we're off for a gentle sail around the Broads (us being only fair weather sailors now). Oh, how we suffer!

Still quite warm here in Bideford, but a bit more cloudy.

Morning all, a bright sunny day here in Portugal. Yesterday was cooler but humid, a really strange combination. I usually get things done on cooler days but I just couldn't be bothered yesterday. Hope it's better today.

Overcast here as well. Done all the washing and hung it up, dishwasher running. Just waiting now for darling daughter and dgds to arrive this pm. Their father has a lot of jobs to in the house and it's easier without a toddler and tiddler around.

Hot and sunny on Cornwall. Up at 7 to do some work in the polytunnel before it got too hot. Then we had a lovely swim in our neighbour's pool. I'm sewing during the hottest part of the day.

I pm'd Printmiss this morning and she has replied to say she's fine but not enjoying the heat we continue to experience here on the south coast so she is taking a little break from GN. I'm just glad she's OK - I don't like our pals to go AWOL!
