Good Morning Mick

It's a bit overcast but optimistic here in Bolton.

What fun things are people getting up to today?

Just passing Gibraltar but can't see it as on the wrong side of the ship. Good view of the Atlas Mountains though!
Blue sky and warm but getting cloudier as we near the Atlantic. Home soon.

Good morning!

A bright and sunny start here in North Leicestershire but with some rain in the forecast.

I think I might change the bed and do some gardening today. Oh, and try to keep DH's bp down while he deals with his obstructive NHS line manager!

Enjoy your days everyone sunshine

Morning. Sun shining here at the moment. Remembered when I woke up that it's my birthday today - with all the stress over Dad being whizzed into hospital at the weekend, I'd forgotten.

Good morning and Happy Birthday Dragonfly hope everything turns out well for you. We have another uncertain start to the day, and I am not sure what the forecast is, however the washing is in the machine and I am planning to play bowls, and get my competitions sorted. I have four to play before the end of the month, and I must organise them before the 13th - all rules and regulations these days. Enjoy your days.

Happy birthday Dragonfly, hope you're able to have a relaxing wine tonight.

Sunny and very still here. Hopefully it'll hold all day - NT volunteers tea party this afternoon and there's usually good nibbles. (Missed this thread when I went to tap on it and accidentally hit on 'Monday Weigh In' - Freuduan?)

Have a lovely day everyone, may you stay dry and sunny sunshine

Good morning all and Happy Birthday Dragonfly sunshine hope you enjoy your day.

Weather is a bit hit and miss at the moment, but I'm hoping it stays sunny as I'm going to Dunham Massey with my friend.
I haven't been since my dc were young and apparently the rose garden is lovely.

Good morning all. It's raining here in Northumberland.
Happy birthday dragonfly have a lovely day. I'm going to try to have my hair cut today, if the hairdresser has an appointment free. Otherwise a relaxing day. May catch up on some TV that I've missed.

Gagagran Tue 08-Jul-14 08:36:55

Morning all. Warm but cloudy on the SE Hampshire coast and some showers forecast later. We'll see. They often miss us and bounce straight over the South Downs before falling.

Nothing much planned for today. We'll be watching the Tour de France this afternoon. Looked on TV for DH and his chum who were watching it in Epping Forest yesterday with DDinL and DGC but they chose that stretch to show adverts and helicopter shots of London. DGC had made a massive banner too so a bit of disappointment for them. Hey ho.

Happy day everyone sunshine and special thoughts of Biker.

Agus Tue 08-Jul-14 08:49:10

Bit overcast at the moment but may be sunny later. We'll see!

Going for a bone density scan this morning. Oh the fun never ends grin

Many Happy Returns Dragonfly. Hope you have a well deserved 'me' dayflowers. Best wishes for your Dad.

Enjoy lunch with your DIL nannotgran wine

Happy days everyone sunshine

Morning all - I'm a bit brighter today than of late. Last night I went to the Board meeting of a charity that I serve on and my plan for the future i.e. to have plan was accepted unanimously. I was getting a bit fed up as we seemed to be sliding backwards but now I feel there is hope. Also got some recent golf results and I am keeping up with the pack and its my first year of entering competitions so although I'm not winning there are definitely signs of improvement. Have a lovely day - looks like rain later here.

Good morning everyone!

Dull & cloudy here in Buckley & rather cool.

Happy birthday dragonfly!!! Cool! Have a really great day! Enjoy!

Have been wondering...Does anyone use Skype? I do daily with my wife Ellie in the USA & I have another friend in Telford & another in the Lake District.

I find it a superb way of keeping in touch & even use it instead of my BT land line. It's cheaper too!

Since I'm disabled & housebound I'm trying to widen my circle of friends & I would like like anyone to contact me on Skype for a short chat, etc.

My Skype ID is david.stanley59.

Cheers for now & enjoy the day.

Dave x

Good morning from a wet north east, lightning and thunder and now heavy rain.

Morning all and happy birthday dragonfly hope their is some cupcake
It's drying up here in Cornwall and the sunshine is trying to shine.
I'm about to bottle some homemade cider ready for the village show. I've never made it before, it may be horrible as I used bread yeast and didn't really know what I was doing.

Dragonfly1 Tue 08-Jul-14 15:10:34

Thanks all. smile

rubysong Tue 08-Jul-14 15:16:04

Shocked at my 'their'. Should have been 'there'. Can I blame the swiping? Probably not.

'Twas baking hot this morning, I needed to post a parcel to cheer up a parent-sitting friend and also realised that DS being back home for the summer meant a bulk buy of cooked meats and cheeses was unavoidable, so hauled him off his computer and forced him to the shops with me. PO, a look for a new belt because he is bigger around the waist now (wish he would stop growing, then he might not eat so much) a coffee in the local art gallery, crabs and fish from the market, a really nice sausage with salads and roll for his lunch (not mine!) followed by a sit-down by the river with an ice cream (that was my lunch). Then off to Aldi.

No pound coins, they all went on sausage and ice creams. So we staggered around loaded up with armfuls of hams and pates and bries and camemberts to go in the freezer, dropping them along the way. Why can't they do baskets at Aldi?

Home at last, so humid and hot, sat down with a cup of tea - and it HAILED. Only for a couple of minutes, but it was very noisy.
