Apologies to Mike for starting the conversation but the hour is advanced in Malta. Arrived here for too short a day. It's lovely and hot and I'm looking forward to visiting for the first time in about 18 years.

Good morning from sunny Normandy. It is our forty-fifth wedding anniversary and we are off for a drive up the D-day landing beaches to see some of the special exhibitions that are on this summer.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright and sunny here in Brackley this morning, just been sorting out a computer scam, went into my programs spotted 2 programs unfamiliar, plus screen duplicate's if an intruder as accessed.

Happy anniversary Mamie flowers 45, impressive.

I'm off to do the final wedding shopping with daughter - shoes! I've had a lot of pleasure this week out of customising her shop bought dress with lace trim.

And it's the final countdown to me no longer working full time - 2 more weeks. Yippeee!!

Good morning everyone, and another lovely morning here on the south coast, we could really get used to this! Happy anniversary Mamie. Another day when I am not sure what we shall be doing, we mostly seem to end up in the garden pottering, but we are now out of bread and milk, so really must shop. Not going out is a lovely way to save money. Enjoy your days

hildajenniJ Sat 21-Jun-14 08:23:25

Just got back from my early morning job. Retired from full time nursing three weeks ago. I now work three hrs a day from 4 to 7 am. What a nice change. It's another lovely day here in Northumberland, enjoy it everyone, who knows how long it will last.

Good morning all!

Happy anniversary Mamie. Hope you are ok too Bella smile

It's a bright, warm and sunny start here in North Leicestershire.

Usual walk to the village to 'pay the papers', buy flowers and have a chat with the florist. It is our village 'Open Gardens' this weekend so we will have a stroll round the more interesting ones - if I can drag DH away from the cricket! flowers

Good morning - I still don't know how to do the embolden thingy to show a response to another gransnetter and I keep asking which only goes to prove no-one reads my postings!
However its is a lovely day in Melton Mowbray and we are off to the Foxton Locks Canal Festival at Market Harborough - its DHs birthday weekend so that was the treat he asked for.

annodomini Sat 21-Jun-14 09:07:36

Good morning - lovely here. I'm listening to the rugby on 5Live since I don't have Sky. VERY depressing so far! The England team must be 'inspired' by the football results! sad

kittylester Sat 21-Jun-14 09:30:01

I love Foxton Sue but I bet it's heaving on such a lovely day! Enjoy it!

Do you mean to make people's names stand out? It's just thepersonsname. I hope that's what you meant!

kittylester Sat 21-Jun-14 09:31:48

That didn't work !!! You need to put * in front of and * after the name - with no spaces!

Silverfish Sat 21-Jun-14 09:52:16

Good morning all, a bright and sunny day in Surrey. I don't wish to claim it's just due to me but I mostly packed the wrong clothes and it's a bit warm for me. grin

I'm off to the chiropractor's soon and then, hopefully, a nice long walk afterwards.

Happy Anniversary Mamie and Mr M flowers

Have a good day everyone. sunshine

rosesarered Sat 21-Jun-14 10:55:09

Thank you dustyangel we will! Great sunny day here too in Oxfordshire, time to put out the solar lights and tidy the garden a bit.
need to do some baking today as family coming tomorrow, and one cake is never enough. There is a baby blackbird [ a very fat one] enjoying the sun in the dry birdbath that I can see through the window in the back garden. I will leave filling the bath with cold water for a while as he/she is having fun.

Lona Sat 21-Jun-14 11:21:11

Good morning from mainly sunny Cheshire. Its quite cool in the shade but scorching when the sun's out!
My dd and dgds are coming, with cake made by the younger dgd for my birthday, which they missed smile
I think they are planning a surprise picnic in the park with my ds and dgc, so fingers crossed for sunshine

Congratulations Mamie and MrM, have a lovely day.
Brenda enjoy your holiday and Bella I hope you're coping flowers xx

sunshine for all of you.

Good afternoon, back home from Bedford. My cousin is in a Sue Ryder hospice and the care and attention is second to none. It is a beautiful house in lovely grounds. I made the decision to return home last night because if the worst does happen we have said our goodbyes.

Atqui Sat 21-Jun-14 12:20:42

Sad for you harrigran, but thank goodness for a caring hospice.
Gorgeous day again here in west Devon.
