I am supposed to be going out for the day, but have an awful cold caught from the GSs. I think I shall take it quietly today and just relax.

Lovely and sunny here. Forecast says it should be warmer too - except here near the coast. Spring is definitely springing.

Good morning from the really bright and breezy south coast. We are promised a lovely weekend, fingers crossed. Off to lunch with friends today, travelling by train for a change, and being picked up at the station by one of the friends, but no idea where we are eating. Might also see our daughter and grand-daughter, although they are going shopping for the day, so no idea when they will be home. Enjoy your days everyone.

Its a horrible dull, drizzly, cold and miserable morning in Newcastle as usual. Wheres the fine weather we are supposed to get ?.

Good morning, grey and miserable here. Went to babysit GC last night and the rain was torrential. GD1 had been away with the school for 2 days and came home soaked to the skin and crying because she was so cold. By the time I arrived at 6pm she was wrapped in a duvet with warm dry clothes on and a warm drink but she developed a temperature and just wanted to sleep. I spent the night checking on her every 15 minutes. DS is cross that GD was prevented from changing into her walking boots and ended up wearing totally unsuitable footwear for a forest walk in heavy rain.
