phoenix, click on Tools on your toolbar, go to 'Pop-Up Blocker' and see what your settings are. You can either turn it off, or choose to allow Pop-Ups from Gransnet, I think...

Just checked and Gransnet was on the ok list, but I'm still getting the exploding hand!

Maurice was poncing about on the desk yesterday, he has been known to somehow adjust the font size, but I don't think I can blame him for the exploding hand.

phoenix Buy Maurice some reading glasses and he might not need to adjust the Font size to read things.

I think he might read through his bottom, as it is usually parked on the newspaper when I'm trying to do the crossword!

That poor maligned baby boy, somebody has got to speak up and look out for him.

Maurice is very much loved, but I'm pretty sure he thinks he's "one of us" and therefore cat rules don't apply to him!

We are off to China Town to-morrow for the Dancing and celebrations there are so many Restaurants to choose from so we will decide when we get there, we are meeting the Chinese side of my son's partner it is the first time she has taken us to meet them so we will enjoy the day I'm sure.

Saigon, Saigon in South St Andrew Street, Edinburgh is my recommendation. We always eat there when we visit Edinburgh. The food is cheap, huge portions and truly authentic; so much so that I know it won't be to everyone's taste. The restaurant mostly caters to the Chinese population and so the menu features lots of offal and things like chicken claws.

Ana I will stand on whatever step, but I would like to point out that my first post was very much concerned with the OP, so there!

Anyway, those looking for a really good Chinese Restaurant in North Devon, we recommend Han Court, Fremington, sort of mid way between Bideford and Barnstaple. Mr P says it does the best Chinese outside London

Maurice however recommends the Canton Rats Head, which according to him does the absolute best Peking Sparrow, he also rates the crispy fried vole, but personally prefers it without the spider sauce.

Tara obviously pops into the same restaurant as Maurice but instead of crispy fried vole, Tara's preference is stir fried mouse without noodles and they go easy on the vegetables for her.

Do they 'toy' with their food before eating it?

Popped to the local Chippy at lunchtime today, the lady who served as its run by Chinese people , told me the music I could hear was to celebrate the new year.
