Just locking up.....Open as usual tomorrow...grin

annsixty Mon 20-Jan-14 09:11:16

Hooray hooray, but is there a room without a big screen.I come to the Bar to get away from all that. The usual please Pete about 8.30pm.

Charleygirl Mon 20-Jan-14 09:39:10

I do like the open fire, very homely. I also like peace and quiet. My probem is that I do not drink and drive and you are a distance away.

glammanana Mon 20-Jan-14 10:09:08

Hi Pete bet you thought I wouldn't notice you had moved premises didn't you but I found you in the end grin
Are you still needing catering services for the big match days if so just say the word.smile

Lona Mon 20-Jan-14 10:15:18

Pete I do hope you've got the right 'sports' hmm I noticed the poles and the extra tables in the cellar!

I don't think Ana is going to like twerking wink or more football!

Ana Mon 20-Jan-14 10:17:53

Well, I certainly won't be doing any twerking, Lona! I wonder who Pete's got in mind for the pole dancing...? hmm

glammanana Mon 20-Jan-14 10:44:53

Ana I've got a feeling it will be that Mel person again grin the one with the short shorts and the rather long legs !!

Lona Mon 20-Jan-14 10:47:51

I don't know, but I saw a couple of red and white nipple tassles and some red sparkly thongs behind the bar! shock
They were too small for Pete.

What sort of real ale do you sell?
Mick

Anne58 Mon 20-Jan-14 11:38:22

He has various guest ales, Mick I think this weeks might be Scabby Scrogbottom.

newist Mon 20-Jan-14 12:25:29

Goodness, what are the ingredients for that confused

Anne58 Mon 20-Jan-14 12:34:33

Apparently it's a trade secret Newist it comes from an artisan micro brewery that has been in the same family for generations. It is believed, however, that ferrets are involved somewhere.

Ana Mon 20-Jan-14 12:41:02

And don't forget gramps' holey long-johns, phoenix. They seem to have gone missing from the swill bucket...

glammanana Mon 20-Jan-14 12:43:54

Ana they "hopped" into the amber necture when it was fermenting hmm (scouse humour)

Ana Mon 20-Jan-14 12:46:43

That's what I was afraid of, glamma! shock

newist Mon 20-Jan-14 12:50:07

It all makes sense now. DH used to have Ferrets, They do get everywhere grin

Lona Mon 20-Jan-14 12:59:37

Well, from what I've heard (arms crossed, head nodding sagely) Pete likes nothing better than a bit of ferreting! hmm

Anne58 Mon 20-Jan-14 13:03:38

There you go then, QED!

Ana Mon 20-Jan-14 13:30:47

The regulars like their beer to have a bit of body! grin

Pete Mon 20-Jan-14 13:36:47

Mick ...Fursty Ferret is on Fursdays!. We also have Boddingtons...Black Sheep...Old Peculier is always a favorite and Wobbly Bob. Guest beers as and when!

Annsixty ....the small snug with open fire has a telly but we can switch it off if you want P n Q.

Charleygirl ...We have a guest room for punters that get pis a little 'merry' ..(reasonable rates)! so no problem!

Lona ...the 'extra poles' you saw are helping me sort the cellar out hmm ............and how did phoenix sneak in?!

Yes Glam your nibbles are an asset to the bar! grin

(Opening night is tomorrow as I'm knackered today) shock

Pete Mon 20-Jan-14 16:14:05

Indoor bowls..............better than nothing I suppose. smile

Anne58 Mon 20-Jan-14 16:24:26

My, you must be either desperate or seriously addicted!

Pete Mon 20-Jan-14 16:29:51

Both grin

ninathenana Mon 20-Jan-14 16:57:22

Nothing wrong with bowls, I prefer mine filled with cashew nuts though.

Ana Mon 20-Jan-14 16:58:12
