Conditions in N Korea are scarcely credible. Starving the population into submission seems to be how they operate.
Has anybody read "Escape for Camp 41"? Grphi account of horrendous inhumanity. To think this is going on in our day and age.
(I am being blinkered - could not bring myself to read it, need to pluck up courage)

I think that book was serialised on Radio 4 a while ago, and I know I found the story difficult to comprehend at the time, so appalling that one wanted to think it couldn't be true. This latest story sounds even worse (though I haven't opened the link because I am too much of a coward).
