*HEATING* - had yours on?

Same here. It's gone from heatwave conditions to feeling like late November all in the space of three or four weeks!

I must admit I have been tempted so I went and got my big thick M & S dressing gown put it on and then made a cup of tea with my hands wrapped around the cup as if it were the depths of winter

We had it on for an hour a couple of evenings and I'm so glad the caravan we have rented for next week at the coast has central heating and we'll be taking our flannel PJ's just in case..lol

Yes gangy5 ...also feel we had a week or two of summer in May ...now it is a murky late autumn!! had my winter woolies out too

Just back from a weekend away and having spent most of the day in trains. Arrived home cold and dishevelled, so have just given in and turned up the thermostat. Now thawing out.

It's not as if we've ever had cool summers before, is it? It's shocking. Tut, tut!

Had my heating on and off and on and off all day. I think it's the psychological effect - a defence against the continuous rain....

...still haven't got any heating.....

Yes weather seems to be something of a mixed bag depending on which part of the country you're in ...my area is suffering from wind chill factor ...probably better than floods!!

Snow in June 1975. DS2 in Birmingham Children's Hospital where I was staying with him. The city centre was chaotic. That same week cricket at Buxton was 'snowed off' but by the end of the week a heatwave had started and when we were driving DS home from hospital we bought a paddling pool. Maybe there is hope.

I've spent the weekend looking after two GDs while their older brother was taken to see Blink 182 . They live in a large house (freezing cold even in summer) and I was persuaded to go for a bracing walk on the beach (big mistake). I also had to sleep in GS's bed which is obviously the very latest in teenage trendiness but resembled and felt like a WW1 hospital bed! After a three hour drive home yesterday afternoon I have spent today crippling around with sciatica.....The things we do for love!

We moaned about having the heating on in May last year!! Still all of July is supposed to be lovely - hope so we are going to the Kent coast for a few days!

Heating on here; I put the thermostat up, and do you know, when I pass it again it's been turned down....

Fingers crossed that July really is going to be fine. I'm going to Suffolk for a week with DS1 and family in their caravan. please!

The heating has had the odd flash on but I hope it warms up for the second week in July we are going to Cornwall I dont want to have to take jumpers!!!!

Yes - heating has been on here, too. Only in the living room and bathroom (need it in there, so the towels don't get 'fusty'....

I've just turned ours on now. It's been a lovely, sunny day but once the sun goes, the temperature drops rapidly!

Heating on, heavy blanket on my bed over the duvet and PJs warming over the bathroom radiator.
10 more days and the nights start drawing in.
