Best knife sharpening tool

Yes, I hate blunt knives, we have a holiday let and I didn’t want guests having to deal with blunt knives.

I found a self sharpening knife block, each time a knife house in or out it is sharpened.

When we moved home last year I bought one for home.

With every penny.

I use a steel.

My Dad always used a steel and would sharpen the neighbours' knives for a pint of Guinness. Not much use to you, I know, but I think it's a case of suck-it-and-see with knife sharpeners. Keep on pegging away until you find one that suits.

OH does a pretty good job with a steel and he doesn't get a glass of Guinness, just my thanks. I always seem to cut myself when a knife is blunt!

I don’t get Guinness either!

This sits on my worktop, right above the knife drawer and I'd hate to go back to the time before I had it. I used to use a whetstone and a steel but not any longer. This little gadget has been transformational.
