Will she have something with her music on or watch a film?

You said books are all sorted but how about a book of short funny stories she can dip and out of?

She has a kindle already that she is taking with her as well as actual books.
I like the idea of colouring and puzzle books and yes they are so her! Why didn’t I think of that ?
The bottled water is another good idea and I think I might get her a small box of chocolates from a very nice local chocolatier.

Snacks, such as cereal bars.

Thank you muse yes she has a device for music and films as she is a big film fan.

I like the craft ideas too I have seen some small Christmas ones in the works. I think I need a trip to the city centre to browse Waterstones etc .

I was also thinking of a few snack ideas as the hospital food might not be the best.

Having spent a couple of long periods in hospital I think magazines were the most useful things. Unless you are in a room on your own so much keeps happening throughout the day that it is quite disjointed. I am a great reader but kept getting interrupted, other expectant mums do like to chat. Of course in covid times it may be different. Certainly have some extra food bits and pieces but again with little physical activity you don't always feel very hungry.

Maybe something like haribos or mints that you can suck/chew if you have a yucky taste.
Nice cream for your skin as will be warm in hospital.
Packet of biscuits eg. hobnobs.
Shawl in case she is sitting in a draft as it's turning cold.

Sorry cream as skin might get dry if it's warm.

Some nice gentle wipes maybe cucumber scented to freshen up

Sachets of herbal/fruit tea if she likes that sort of thing

I was in hospital recently and they had done away with lockers so there was nowhere to put anything except in your bag. If that’s the case she won’t want too much stuff.

Earplugs and/or headphones.

I think a range of magazines is good and if she likes crafts maybe magazines linked to her craft interests. Some nice smelling handcream and other manicure bits and bobs.

I bought these when I thought we would be travelling. They’ve come in useful over our move though I ‘m not keen on the coconut scent.

I’ve just spotted that they now do grapefruit scented online.

Also water wipes are quite refreshing and widely available.

My mum used to peel and slice up an orange for my gran, then put it in a jam jar.

Is there a TV in her room? They could take a fire stick.

Some packs of Christmas cards so she could get them addressed and ready to post while she's got the time.
She could also do her Christmas shopping online or on Amazon if she has friends or relatives she buys for. Save trying to find time to do it after the baby's born!

Will there be a handy socket to charge her phone or other appliances? She might need a long charging cable, and she might find an external power pack useful.

The long charging cable is an excellent idea. My phone was hanging from the wall, during my stay in Coronary Care, because my cable was too short.

DH had to bring me biscuits and hand them in through the window, (no visitors) because I was so hungry. and it was great to have one with the bedtime cuppa . I ended up sharing them around the room, as everyone felt the same.

Maybe a small fleece throw. It can sometimes be chill, especiall with airing wards due to covid. A small fleece can e draped around neck or wherever.
