Shoes in boxes

I like to keep my ‘good’ shoes in boxes, does any GNetter know what I could put in the boxes to keep shoes ‘fresh’ without damaging the leather? A friend has suggested small silica bags but they don’t have a fragrance.

As you are using boxes, one ball per box would probably do the trick.

Let the shoes air overnight or for 24 hours before putting them in a box. Works for me.

I put tumble dryer sheets in drawers etc to keep things smelling fresh.
