That’s brilliant, NanM! Alas I never did learn to crochet. I inherited my mother’s crochet hooks, though, as well as her knitting needles - at least the hooks come in handy for picking up the odd dropped stitch!
Thank you Witzend. I learned to crochet about eleven years ago from YouTube videos. I learned to knit in school and one day l hope to knit a pair of socks. My Mother used to help with turning the heel. Think l have a mental block about them from my school days

I'm struggling with the latest crochet project, might have to go back to knitting.
Yes, if I’d seen it a few years ago…. Youngest Gdc will soon be leaving the lovely nursery/pre-school where the two elder also went, to start reception in September. It struck me that this would be a really lovely thank-you present to give them, but it’d take ages, and I’m busy with items that are badly needed elsewhere. I don’t think I’ll even get around to the usual Christmas raffle Nativity Set this year!
I must have made half a dozen over the years, Callistemon21 - one for the Gdcs, others for their schools or 🎄raffles - I won’t be sorry to give it a miss this time!
