I have always thought a prime scam would be for someone to say they were from NSI and that I had won a million. Their next question being which bank would you like it paid into? And asking me to confirm the bank details,
I believe NSI do ring the 2 lucky winners on the 1st working day of the month. I am sure I have read that.
Should I ever be in receipt of a phone call...once I have picked myself up off the ground...I would refuse to give bank details on the basis they have them already.
I’m sure I’ve read that they actually call on the £1m winners, and ask to speak to them privately (before saying who they are or why they’re there) since some winners would prefer to keep anyone else in the house, perhaps especially a spouse or partner, in the dark about it!
