I've just seen that Chris Appleton is the latest signing for this year. Apparently he's Kim Kardashian's hairdresser.

Words fail me. confused

Danni Dyer is back this year after pulling out last year with a broken ankle.

Does it matter? One of the best dancers last year was unheard of by most people.

I used to really love Strictly but got very bored with it two years ago. Won’t be watching it anymore.

Strictly does seem to be running out of well-known celebs. Perhaps it doesn’t really matter who the contestants are - it’s the dancing that counts - but it adds an extra dimension if I’ve already heard of them. It’ll be interesting to see what it’s like with the new presenters this year.

I must be the only person on the planet who still has no idea who or what Kim Kardashian is all about.

Perhaps she should be the celebrity dancer, not her hairdresser?

I did read or hear somewhere that possible “celebrities “ are queueing up to be on Traitors, which is preferable to the time and effort it takes to be on Strictly, and apparently the money is similar. And no danger of being perceived as ridiculous.

A better additiuon today.

Melanie Walters, who plays Gwen (Stacey's Mum) in Gavin & Stacey

I’m not sure about that, I think I’d rather reveal my lack of coordination than how slow on the uptake I am!

I think Melanie Walters will be good, and I’m pleased Dani Dyer is getting another chance, it must have been hard for her last year sitting watching with a cast on her ankle.

Regarding running out of celebs to go on SCD I’ve often seen interviews with people saying they’d love to do it and I hope they will be on the show. Then when the BBC announce the names they are nowhere to be seen. I’m not sure if it’s to do with costs etc and some celebs come cheaper than others.

I hadn't heard about Melanie Walter’s but I like her and think she’s a good addition.

I don't know anything about the Kardishians either. I often really like the contestants I have never heard of before. George Clark was adorable last year.

Strictly is well past its sell-by date. Time it was taken off. Just my opinion though.
