This week I've been watching Bouquet of Barbed Wire, which was very controversial back in 1976, but I could not miss an episode then as I very much liked Susan Penhaligion, a great actress.
So interesting to see how attitude's have changed.
This was made when domestic violence was not a crime.
If anyone else has watched this recently I'd be interested to know their thoughts.

We're going to see Susan Penhaligon at the theatre in a couple of weeks - she's in the tour of The Mousetrap (Agatha Christie)

I remember my mother watching this, she would have been in her early 50s at the time , I was 18 and going out with my DH, We were shocked that she she liked it 😂 , I don't think I ever watched an episode all the way through.

I remember watching this, very shocking at the time, and I really enjoyed it.

Didn’t it have a hint of incest too?

Was it really as long ago as 1976? I was 29 years old, recently divorced with a son and daughter and hooked on the serial. Must watch it again. Yes, Cossy there was a hint of incest.

Oh I loved it! It was quite risque back in the day.

Is it on a streaming service?

They did a remake of this drama with Trevor Eve- whatever happened to him?

I really enjoyed watching it. Didn't miss an episode and many seen in the dark with the blackouts. I don't remember much of it now but would like to see it again. What channel please?

My deeply religious Mother watched this to my utter amazement, I wasn’t allowed anywhere near the TV when it was on but I could hear her tutting all the way through.

Her justification for watching it was that Frank Finlay was her cousin.

I would say it was more about obsession than incest.

I remember watching this so well it was out there in its day! Shocking almost but addictive to watch and memorable. I was 19 still very naive and innocent but fascinated watched every episode.
