Unless you live in the same TV area as OP or any other posters, the names are entirely meaningless.

Yes but I was just interested to know if others had favourite local presenters. DD who gets South Today likes Sophie Law and Jo Kent.

On Midlands Today we have the lovely Nick Owen who many will remember from breakfast TV with Anne Diamond. He has been very ill recently and seems to be working part time now but he is a star and still knows how to deliver a joke or a pun.

Love Paul Hudson. Great weatherman!

We are so lucky where we live because we have Peter Levy and the weatherman Paul Hudson. It's by far the best regional news programme in the country. We even watch it when we go on holiday.

Yes, they are our local team too. A great double act.

Another vote for Roger Johnson, he's lovely. I like Gamal Fahnbulleh too.

David Garmston on Points West.
I've been watching him for 40 years & he is a very genuine & humane person, & cheers you up.

Well, I always think poor David, does he ever get a break from the 10.30pm slot? However, I do like him, he seems warm and genuine.

I like the two who "defected" to ITV as well, Alex Lovell and Sabet Choudhury, they make a good team.

They are a great double act Bukkie sometimes with the “pc” BBC I wonder how they get away with things.

I think It’s Claire Frisby who does the local news on BBC breakfast on midweek mornings Greyduster

For me, on Look North, it used to be Claire Frisby and Lisa Ackroyd, but I haven’t watched it for ages so I couldn’t say now.

My favourite? North West Tonight presenters both Annabel Tiffin and Roger Johnson but especially
Roger Johnson, who always starts and finishes with “Thank you for your company.”
