New thread.

Calendargirl Thu 27-Aug-26 14:50:54

Jack also 15, September 2010, so nearly 16.

Liam 17, July 2009.

(I need to get out more!)

Calendargirl Thu 27-Aug-26 14:48:06

Just looked up Hope’s age, 15.

Born December 2010, in the tram/train crash episode.

So she’ll be doing GCSE’s next year, presumably.

Charleygirl5 Thu 27-Aug-26 13:05:23

Hope is definitely not that old. I have no ides how old the other two are supposed to be. I thought Hope was around 13 but who knows? There are far too many children in that soap.

Bukkie Thu 27-Aug-26 13:03:47

Didn't Liam sit his GCSE's last year when there was all the horrible bullying with Mason was going on? The less we see of Jack the better, he can't act for toffee.

Calendargirl Thu 27-Aug-26 12:54:49

Will seems to have disappeared after his GCSE results.

How old are Liam, Hope and Jack meant to be?

Were they sitting GCSE’s as well?

No mention of their results, if so.

Bryan and Maggie. Who knew?! Everyone seems to be sleeping with everyone else in Corrie. What a hotbed of passion.
That horrible cellmate of Sarah Lou now knows Harry’s name. He’d better watch out!

luluaugust Thu 27-Aug-26 07:21:03

Surely Brian and Maggie were ideal candidates for getting one of those hotel rooms!

Calendargirl Thu 27-Aug-26 06:57:08

Far too much screen time being given to the Lucy/Richie/Tim/Sally/The Girls household.

Another rubbishy improbable storyline with hidden undertones, secrets, plots….

Lucy obviously more involved in the murder than previously implied, but frankly, I really don’t care.

If that were real life, think it would be better if she moved to an independent foster family, let’s face it, Tim and Sally are hardly relatives, never heard of her before a couple of weeks ago…. Think they have enough on their plates with Joanie, Shanice and Brody.

As for Brian and Maggie……

Can someone please send Mary on a lengthy sea voyage or something similar. I wonder if the actress who plays her wonders who wrote the drivel she has to say.

Charleygirl5 Wed 26-Aug-26 22:27:34

Calendargirl I totally agree, but I also don't want to see murders being carried out. I thought it was so disjointed I had missed an episode, but I probably wasn't paying attention because I was bored.

The writers are dreadful, very little humour. What Mary spouts out is rubbish but she is there every week.

Calendargirl Wed 26-Aug-26 20:58:05

What a boring, ridiculous, disjointed episode tonight.

EllieAnne Sun 23-Aug-26 19:07:57

Bukkie I’m confused too. I thought George gave her his house when they fell out over the inheritance

Doodledog Sun 23-Aug-26 01:48:00

Thanks, Bukkie and Calendargirl. Yes, I remember horrible Mal.

I hope Todd's not going to turn into a baddie. He was, at one time, I think, but then he softened. He needs to cut back on the drink.

Bukkie Sat 22-Aug-26 23:58:57

When did Glenda move into Eileen's elastic house? Where do they all sleep? Todd, please move in with Summer.

Dis we know Ross was a prison officer? I thought he was an electrician?

No, the electrician was that awful chap who had the fling with Bernie, did work at Roy’s that resulted in disaster. Was his name Mal? Very unattractive. Can’t remember what happened to him.

Yes, Ross said he’d got a job at the prison, how convenient he happened to be on shift at visiting time with Richie and Tim.

Bukkie Fri 21-Aug-26 00:42:32

Doodledog Quite often I think I have missed information or even a whole episode but I do remember it being mentioned that Ross is a prison officer. The inmates will have a field day ridiculing that wig.

I have added Richie to my long list of people I can’t stand. The bus must be full by now.

I am assuming Cassie has left for good or has a door been left open in case of a return in the future? I hope not.

As Ross has the photo that Fizz gave to Cassie as
she was leaving, I reckon he has done something to her.
Claire Sweeney is touring with Annie at the moment.

Gemma doesn’t have a front room. The front door opens straight into the living room.

Calendargirl Thu 20-Aug-26 06:52:52

Also very odd how she took Todd off for a drink to discuss funeral arrangements.

Don’t think it works like that at the Co Op.

Calendargirl Thu 20-Aug-26 06:51:49

Why on earth would you lend £5k to a dodgy new boyfriend who you really know nothing about, apart from the fact he’s Alya’s cousin/uncle? and you jumped into bed with him on the first date?

Surprised Leanne has £5k to spare.

Couldn’t get over ‘Celeste’ being played by Frances Barber. I know we are all ageing, and I suppose I am still thinking of her playing a beautiful, troubled opera singer in ‘Inspector Morse’ many years ago…..

BlueBelle Wed 19-Aug-26 21:17:21

Well I didn’t enjoy tonight episode much at all but I take the rough with the smooth and still keep coming back for more

This thread always has people complaining about how awful it is, yet they still watch it regularly enough to comment on past and present stories and characters grin.

I'm sure we all prefer some stories and characters to others, which is why there are multiple plotlines - so there is something for everyone - but it's not compulsory to watch it at all - if people dislike it so much they can do something else.

Absolutely and that is why I said "not sure why I am bothering to share this really"...was just thinking out loud I suppose.
