Are you finding it annoying that a Poster wishes to have a Thread title changed to reflect what us actually the truth Oreo?
The Thread is about a news channel.
News channels are about telling 'truths'.

Well the bbc certainly don’t tell the full truth, or in DT case they doctored his speech.
I’ve never, ever known GB news do that.
If anything, GB news they will tell you like it is, but the ‘left’ like ‘everything in the garden to be Rosie regarding how Britain is doing.

How many categories were there in that awards decisions? If anyone knows offhand and cares to say?
It's just that I missed the whole event.

We hear plenty of world news, it’s nice sometimes to concentrate on what’s happening in our own country, and the breakfast programme, like all other breakfast programmes on other channels is also meant to be thought provoking and entertaining.
But nobody has to watch GB News if it offends them.

Casdon Sun 28-Jun-26 08:14:55

Yes, Sago. That’s how I realised that the thread title must have been wrong, prompting me to check what the award actually was for. GB News could not win a comprehensive news channel of the year award.

Sago 😁

I much prefer to watch GB news and listen to both sides, ie different opinions and views. With other news outlets you just have to listen to the one sided view. It is so boring having to listen constantly to 'self righteous and holier than thou.'

I think that’s what more and more people are enjoying, a good range of views.
It’s certainly my go to breakfast news programme.

The scope of GB News is limited to the UK, with a couple of US correspondents. It does not have journalists in other countries.

The clue is in the name.

Never watch it as I find presenters are awful..

I’m sure the team at GB News would be heartbroken to hear that 😂

Mojack26 Sat 27-Jun-26 23:13:06

I agree Cossy not my cup of tea either!

There was no difference between the Times reporting of Henry Nowak's death and GB news.
I went between the two, and picked up exactly the same information.

Yes the news reports content is just the same as other news reports.

Oreo Sat 27-Jun-26 22:16:36

Simple enough to stop going on about it too.Everybody realises now it’s not the channel.

Maremia Sat 27-Jun-26 21:59:47

Simple enough to ask the Mods to change the incorrect word for you.

Maremia Sat 27-Jun-26 21:57:19

No plans to amend your incorrect Thread title even though you have read my post questioning your misuse of the word 'channel '?

I’m surprised by the huge support for GB News on here, but I guess I shouldn’t be, considering the predominantly older demographic profile on GNet.

What age got to do with liking GB news? Farzanah

It's a right wing, rabble-rousing mouthpiece for Reform.
No, it isn't actually, but so many people who make very strong pronouncements against it actually refuse to watch it one wonders where they get their information from.

Bukkie Sat 27-Jun-26 17:54:34

Himdowntheroad - It's not racist, it's common sense. Having a beautiful 18 year old boy stabbed by a Sikh man is racist, having young girls gang raped by grooming gangs is racist, having a young woman raped on Brighton beach is racist. Ignoring all these crimes because we don't want to offend people is disgusting. This is what GB News and Patrick in particular highlights abd this is why he has and will continue to win awards.

So it's a programme that won an award, not a channel. That's the dodgy standard of reporting you would expect from GB News. It shouldn't be allowed to call itself a news channel. It's a right wing, rabble-rousing mouthpiece for Reform.

Hear hear!
