I really enjoy his programmes too… he’s very good at looking at the history of places, and great at connecting with people. The recent ones in Japan and Uzbekhistan (sp?) were really interesting.

He is a much better travel presenter than he was politician!

I do like his programmes. But I think it should be retitled: Watch an Old Man Eat His Way Round Europe!

I really like him and his bright clothes. He will have a go at anything his hosts demonstrate - dancing, cooking, sipping drinks and seems genuinely interested. He’s a great presenter.

We've been following his train journeys (around the world) and thoroughly enjoying them. He's surprisingly good as a travel presenter; I think it's because he has a real knack of connecting to people.

Uzbekistan is now on my bucketlist.
