Rocketstop2

I haven't watched yet, but I'm going to. However, someone mentioned 'Robert Lindsay'..Oh no, don't like him. He was great in the 'Citizen Smith' Years but quickly became a 'Luvvie' and a 'Do you know who I am' person. Hope he doesn't have too big a part ?

He’s great in the part and it’s not a major part, but still big enough

Only watched first episode so far . I love anything showing the French countryside as we're too old to travel now . (Sigh ! )

I’m enjoying it, a third of the way through the third episode!

Have only watched first episode.

Both the boyfriend and the teacher seem dodgy, plus the host family.

Thought Joanna Scanlan looked a bit old to be the daughter’s mum. No mention of her dad, or did I miss that?

There isn't a single TV drama without holes in the plot. I just think we've got really good at spotting them due to age and experience. I remember watching things in years gone by and accepting the storylines without question! Now I find myself asking 'why did she do that when she could have done this?' or spotting impossibilities all over the place. I try really hard not to do this though.

Too*

I doubt if only one teacher, male at that, would be allowed to go with a mixed group.
I would think that the first port of call would be to the designated school contact that is required for such trips.
All a bit to unrealistic, but makes for a gripping drama.

It was definitly a good start I enjoyed it last night and look forward to it tonight

Curlywhirly Tue 14-Apr-26 16:49:08

It's a continuation of one plot. I watched it last night and think it started well. Will see what tonight brings.

Obviously made some time ago as the chance to nip across to France with no problems at customs would cause more problems. I thought it was quite a good start but rather too obvious signposts with various parts. Will probably watch the next bit. Think Joanne usually plays good parts.

Recorded it last night - I like gripping so sounds promising! Thanks for the heads up Clawdy.

Is this a series of individual stories or a continuation of one plot ?

TerriBull Tue 14-Apr-26 16:37:08

Thank you, I'll give it a go, gripping sounds good. I like Joanna Scanlon and Robert Lindsay, although I haven't seen him in anything for a while.

Finding it quite gripping, will be watching second one tonight. As always, some improbable bits, but Joanna Scanlon is always good. Interesting to see Robert Lindsay too!
