New thread.

I bet the actor playing Roy is really enjoying playing an evil character for a change!

nanaK54 Tue 09-Jun-26 12:57:42

Bit quiet around here, has everyone given up?! grin

Is Lisa Swain just going to believe that Tyrone has just recovered his memory of seeing Summer that fateful night?

What is Gary so wound up about, I really hope that he is not Theo's murderer.

I rather like 'Evil Roy' what great acting, although I do feel so sorry for poor Sam.

Is Will going to fall under horrible Megan's spell again at his race, I do hope not.

I’ve taken this screenshot of the Corrie schedule for the coming week and thanks to the football it’s all over the place 😡 No episodes Tuesday or Thursday and the other evenings aren’t at usual times. Hopefully if you click on the screenshot it will enlarge to read it .

Thanks - don't forget we have an episode this evening at 8:30

Charleygirl5 Sat 06-Jun-26 23:16:36

Thank you, that is very helpful.

It is done at the drop of a hat which annoys me. These days it's almost the only programme I watch. Thanks, I will keep my eyes open and report when I see a change.

I would like to see so many characters move, I will order and pay for a mini bus.

There is a different scriptwriter for each episode so little continuity

Devorgilla Sat 06-Jun-26 22:09:50

BTW Corrie on at various times next week. Watch the Guide carefully. The Great God Sport has knocked us off the schedule.

Devorgilla Sat 06-Jun-26 22:05:57

I can't help feeling it is Hope who shopped Daniel to Social Services. All that hand holding when he had his meltdown seemed orchestrated to me and not for a good reason. Did she and Daniel have a run in at some stage? Is it pay back time for her?
As for Jodie I feel she blames Shona for everything that has gone wrong in her life because she got out. Definitely wants to drive a wedge between David and Shona. And probably wants her baby or at least to show them as unfit to raise a child. I just wish Daniel would cut his losses and head off somewhere new. Please don't take Jodie with you - point her in another direction.

Thank you.

Charleygirl5 Fri 05-Jun-26 09:22:17

Thanks for that.

Grannynannywanny Fri 05-Jun-26 09:19:11

Another here who is becoming increasingly annoyed with Daniel’s behaviour.

Corrie and Emmerdale (I’m a glutton for punishment and watch both) will both be shown on Sunday evening to make way for tonight’s football.

Charleygirl5 Fri 05-Jun-26 09:04:38

Especially now he is shouting is head off about Social Services involvement. I would think Jodie made the call.

Are we going to see an episode on Monday does anybody know? I forgot we had to give way for some sport tonight.

Aveline Fri 05-Jun-26 08:55:03

I wish Daniel would just get a grip. This story is just boring.

Bukkie Fri 05-Jun-26 08:51:59

Gosh I find Daniel foul. He is 100% to blame for Bertie using the microwave and nearly setting the flat on fire yet stands in the pub shouting and blaming others. When he was shouting, "He's my son." I found myself shouting back at the television, "Well look after him them." And I have started to have a suspicion that Sarah killed Theo.

BlueBelle Wed 03-Jun-26 17:01:17

Just to clarify about Jodie I watch Emmerdale and have never seen or heard of her in Emmerdale as far as I know,
I ve not even heard a reference to her, I ve no idea why she was tied up in a van either.
I not convinced Hope is a changed character she seemed pretty scary being nice to Daniel.
I didn’t realise that in real life Daniel has a tremor that he has to try to control when acting he said it may at sone point have to be written in to the story

nanaK54 Wed 03-Jun-26 16:33:38

I'm so pleased that Adam left Daniel in the flat, hopefully he will stir from his drunken stupor and completely panic when Bertie is nowhere to be found.

Dottydots Wed 03-Jun-26 16:13:22

honeyrose, please tell Jodie that I'm happy to pay for her taxi.
Good riddance!

honeyrose Wed 03-Jun-26 15:49:37

I agree that the Jodie character’s story is going nowhere, no hints as to when her background story will reveal itself. It’s getting very tiresome. Why do I still watch it - I’ve no idea! There always seems to be a psycho on the Street and Jodie’s the latest in a long line. Please put her in a Street Cars taxi with a “one way ticket”, never to be seen again.

Happygirl79 Wed 03-Jun-26 14:40:44

I think that Swain must be the worst detective possible. She seems to have no imagination whatsoever. She waits for someone to hand her a suspect until will take action. The storyline is now becoming tedious. Will every single occupant in the street be arrested to allow this to go on and on until we all give up and switch off? The script writers are pretty poor right now in my opinion. Endless arrests, fights, hospital visits. It's like they've run out of ideas.
The Jodie character is just a " filler " and seems to be going nowhere.

glasses Wed 03-Jun-26 14:23:01

Jodie is so boring, I thought I had lost the plot but there doesn't seem to be one.
Most of the furniture in Corrie seems to be black now and the walls are navy or dark grey, so depressing.

Calendargirl Wed 03-Jun-26 13:50:16

Has Swain’s warrant card (the one Jodie stole) ever turned up?

No one, least of all Lisa, seems bothered about its disappearance.

Shona gets on my nerves also, she’s either flying off the handle with David, or cuddling up to him.

Mind you, David is either swigging from a bottle of beer or lolling on the sofa.

What a family, they all deserve each other.

sodapop Wed 03-Jun-26 13:11:58

Agree with you Grannynannywanny Jodie's story is tedious in the extreme, disjointed and totally unrealistic ( yes I know it's not real) I am tired of her character too.

Aveline Wed 03-Jun-26 12:48:15

What no pub or cafe in your street Maggiemaybe? Even the bench outside Audrey's or the bus stop seat might be a good location for you.

Maggiemaybe Wed 03-Jun-26 11:39:57

Oh, I so agree about Jodie - let’s hope she goes soon, with or without an explanation, and that this time she doesn’t just skulk about behind cars and up ginnels with her hood up as she did last time she “disappeared”.

As for Swain and her constant chit chat about cases she’s supposedly working on… We have police officers in the family and had a big police raid on a house on our street recently. Despite DH’s best efforts to trip them up and winkle out some information 😂, we know no more about it than any of the other neighbours or local rumourmongers. And we never will.

Dylis Wed 03-Jun-26 11:27:45

Thanks for that. I remember her suddenly appearing in the same hospital as Shona and David but wasn't sure if she was a character in Emmerdale.
She was caught out by Shona when she told someone that Harper was her baby. Not exactly a forgettable white lie.
Bored with all the nonsense and just want her and the ridiculous storyline gone!
