Judging by the 'facts' on this thread, methinks that some of you have been watching that famous work of fiction, 'The Crown'.
But it made great TV, I think most of us recognised it was only based on events and every conversation was dramatically created, after all who would really know what went on behind closed doors.
As for Diana, she was damaged long before she married Charles, and yes, she did grow to be very manipulative and bitter and unwell.
Yes, it was entertaining, however it's surprising, how many people quote events from the show as fact.
What I was actually meant in my post, was that some need to check their 'facts' whether gleaned from Netflix or other sources.
'The Crown's fiction wasn't only about conversations behind closed doors, though, many events were invented.
Netflix didn't make clear that it was fictional, they said calling it a drama was enough, and refused, when called upon by culture secretary, Oliver Dowden, to add a disclaimer.
I agree about Diana, she had issues before she met Charles.
I also think they were in love in the early years of their marriage.
