It's amazing that Toyah and Leeanne have never had anything to do with Chesney and Gemma throughout their many storylines.

I wonder if the 3 of them were probably as confused as me when this storyline came up! I was struggling to remember their connection and I don’t recall a single reference to it in all the years I’ve watched Corrie.

As if Chesney would pass up the chance of £20k when they are always pleading poverty. He’s supposedly doing it out of devotion to Les although he’s never been mentioned in years.

I find Max intensely annoying.

He’s a right cocky little so and so, never does a stroke of work, and swearing undying love to Lauren and the baby, when he was seeing Sabrina not so long ago.

Mind you, Lauren gets on me as well.

This storyline will be dragged out interminably.

Joel’s mother’s acting is awful, the dad is a bit better.

I did read that 'Corrie' was sick of requests to bring dad Les back so they decided to kill him off. Hence, no more requests. Sad I think. Obviously, that is why he was never actually brought back even for a visit,.

No doubt DeeDee will have the baby to save Frankeh. So that story will drag out for months.

Well if you have missed something so have I - if Bobby or Max thought that Frankie could be theirs they surely would have been pushing for a paternity test, as would Lauren, sure she would rather the baby was not Joels...
I must remember it is only a story

I see a twist here - Dee Dee, being a highly intelligent lady, will realise that her baby could provide the necessary transplant for Frankie; she may then feel obliged to produce said baby. That baby, if Dee Dee really doesn't want to bring him or her up, could then be just what Joel's parents need to deflect them from trying to take Frankie. However, will Lauren reveal that Joel isn't the father, thus leaving Dee Dee free to have an abortion - if it's not too late by then? Given the speed of the storylines of late we may find out by Christmas 2025.

As you said LovesBach ‘could provide’ so she shouldn’t feel any obligation to bring a baby into the world she doesn’t want.

Gemma is never at her best.She is a terrible actress.Tyrone and Craig hang their mouths open at the end of every setence as well.

They're absolutely fine in their roles. Entirely appropriate. RADA types would be all wrong.

Corrie was like watching a car crash tonight. David's ridiculous story about being mugged had more holes than a Swiss cheese. Chesney's stupid revenge and as for Carla and Lisa in the Bistro!

I agree, the storylines are getting worse. Gemma looked horrendous- the hair/wig was too long and dark.

I cannot understand why Joel was not Frankie's father. He sexually abused Lauren often enough.

It would be better for Lauren if Frankie was not Joel's, but I expect he is. Could change though.
