Has anyone watched this? I saw the first episode and will watch on i-player. So many similarities with the NHS underfunding. Patients on trolleys in A&E, no beds. But things are different as well. There seem to be a lot of staff compared with today, both doctors and nurses. And no scrubs in theatre just gowns over ordinary clothes. An interesting time to show it.

Yes, it is the forerunner to "Bodies" another terrific series from Jed Mercurio, based on his career as a doctor before he turned to crime, as it were.

It seemed very radical at the time - not many in the medical world admitted to any weakness! Some things seemed a bit dated but the sexual harassment was, sadly, bang up to date.

Loved this, as a NHS professional, this at the time was the truest depiction of the service worts and all.
