I only caught this gem on BBC4, 7.05pm last night because the News was delayed by football!
What a treat! It lasted for an hour, described as ‘an aerial anthology of England landscape, poetry and music’, selected by John Betjeman, with commentary supplied by him and voiced by Michael Hordern, Janet Suzman and Prunella Scales amongst others.
Apparently made for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee, it showed our beautiful land throughout the seasons.
I really enjoyed it, and was glad that for once, the football had overrun.
