Of course the vaccinated are sick. They are the majority in NHS therefore more of them will be sick. They are also dealing with non vaccinated people regularly. Of course the vaccine isn't making them sick! Good grief.

The unvaccinated are not ill! Hence, they are not off work! Good grief! Both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated have to test!!!

I can understand people having reservations about a fairly new vaccine that was rapidly produced and rolled out. Also, people who are in their 20s and 30s not overweight and no health issues are very unlikely to end up in itu and likely to develop a natural immunity.
To fire people in the nhs because of this is a mistake. The flu vaccine was never mandatory although very encouraged.
Is this a further step towards privatisation?

This is misleading and basically, well...wrong.

They are entitled to their say, but it should be an explaining their views say, not a proselityising say, and they should be given no more time than those offering the predominant view.

I would like to hear their arguments but think it should be balanced with people with the medical facts and Dr's from overworked I.C.U wards.
We have young anti vaxers near us they broke all the rules we all followed and there were huge family parties, and lots caught Covid.
My DD said she had to have a workman in and without prompting he went on about how the vac was putting chips into us so that the government could control us. She walked out of the room.

Whilst vaccines are not mandatory in the U.K. these folk have as much right as the next to put their point of view.

They should be treated the same as anyone else on QT.

It may even help for the rest of us to learn/understand why thousands of NHS workers, including doctors, midwives and nurses are willing to lose their jobs rather than have the Covid vaccines.

A very sensible idea to allow them to put their views up for debate; debate should never be stifled.
I remember Nick Griffin, chairman of BNP on Question Time, and when they had finally shut up the audience and one was able to listen properly it was very much a case of giving him enough rope to hang himself.

I suppose if you think that troops on our streets is a perfectly normal way to control people, shutting down free speech goes hand in hand with that thinking.

If you read it somewhere, please provide a reference so that the rest of us can judge for ourselves the standard of scientific literature you base your opinions on.

I’m torn on this.
I’d hope that that a) there will be eloquent and authoritative expert pro-vax voices to counteract them, and
b) that the anti-vaxxers will end up looking like idiots.

But we shall see

The reasons that most of the staff who are off sick are the vaccinated ones are that
most of the staff have been vaccinated
the vaccine doesn’t stop you catching omicron. It reduces your risk of being seriously ill and hospitalised
If you test positive you still have to isolate even if you have very mild symptoms

If you take a sample of 100 people, and 90 of them are vaccinated that leaves 10 who are not.

If 30 of the sample are in hospital and 20 of them are vaccinated that means 10 of them are not.

What percentage of the hospitalised (in this scenario) are unvaccinated?

How on earth do vaccinations make people susceptible to viruses? That really doesn't make sense.

It needs to be balanced and the moderation needs to be immaculate.

But I would not wish to be in a room with a whole gang of unvaccinated people.

I will not be watching it - I value my blood pressure!
