DH has just started watching it, on my recommendation, although I have never seen it!

Agree with MayBee70 - The Bridge is very good too; also try Spiral, a French police drama, my favourite.

My DH absolutely LOVED The Killing. He’s never been so riveted by any tv programme before. He also loved Bates Motel.

I have watched and greatly enjoyed The Bridge. I thought we had watched all the popular Scandi Noir series but the Killing escaped our notice. We start on series 2 tonight.

Have you noticed that almost all these programmes feature a detective with issues, be it tunnel vision, being on the spectrum or some semi supernormal ability?

Borden, another Danish series is similar in many ways. Happy to recommend that.

Spiral is one series I enjoyed which had a great ending.

I loved the Killing. There is also an american version, same plot and format but set in USA. I watched that on Netflix some time after watching the original & really enjoyed it.Different actors gave different dynamics .... & I couldn't remember the ending so still gripping.

I watched it some time ago and thought it was good and I also like the US version, from memory I think there was more than one series.

It was watching Wallander on BBC4 that started our scandi noir journey.

The Australian series Offspring is excellent. Great for those who find murder mysteries depressing.
