So, fellow fans, what do we think of the lineup? A very mixed bunch, personally only know of five, I’m sure we will soon have our favourites. Can’t wait for the glitz and glamour to brighten the long dark nights looming?

Calendargirl Sat 20-Nov-21 19:41:47

I miss Craig too.

rafichagran Sat 20-Nov-21 19:42:09

I thought Tilly was amazing. Those scores were well deserved

Casdon Sat 20-Nov-21 19:48:00

I’m with Grandmabatty* tonight, I thought it was a bit dull compared with the last few weeks. Tilly was excellent though.

merlotgran Sat 20-Nov-21 19:56:32

Get well soon, Craig. Not the same without you.

Tilly got all my votes tonight.

Sparklefizz Sat 20-Nov-21 19:58:18

The pro's opening dance was fantastic. Really loved that.

Didn't like Tilly's dance or music at all but clearly I'm no expert as she got 4 x 10s.

I thought AJ looked so beautiful.

I loved Rhys and think he could easily end up with a stage career in the theatre. I can see him in "Grease" for example.

I didn't think much of Tom's dance, and now realise he has had theatrical training since he was a young child.

Dan has definitely improved.

Giovanni - phoar!! Loved that uniform. And loved their dance.

I've voted for AJ, Rhys and Rose.

muse Sat 20-Nov-21 20:08:25

Could be a close call for the dance off. Hope it's not Tom. Best dance for me was AJ and Kai's.

Sweetpeasue Sat 20-Nov-21 20:09:11

Very much with*Grandmabatty*. Perhaps my expectations after last week were spoilt.
AJs waltz was beautiful.I loved Rose's quickstep. Their relationship so warm and playful--is there going to be a wedding or is that a little tease?
It could well have been Ryhs's night if he'd kept his enthusiasm in control. He's a natural dancer.
I was shocked at Tilly's score, but it just wasn't my cup of tea I'm afraid. Wasn't overly keen on Tom and Amy's dance.
I actually enjoyed John and Johannes chimney sweep routine.
A little underwhelmed tonight.

Calendargirl Sat 20-Nov-21 20:10:41

I did like Tilly’s dance, but usually the couples choice leaves me cold. I prefer to see ‘proper’ dancing, but I suppose they have to keep trying to freshen it up.

kittylester Sat 20-Nov-21 20:12:16

We have had such fabulous evening before haven't we? But you have to love Giovanni and Rose!!!

Sparklefizz Sat 20-Nov-21 20:15:35

But you have to love Giovanni and Rose!!!

Oh, I do, I do !!!!!!!!!!! blush

Nannylovesshopping Sat 20-Nov-21 20:18:50

Oh dear, the magic and sparkle disappeared for me tonight, was actually bored! ?

Josianne Sat 20-Nov-21 20:19:53

I thought Tilly and Rhys looked as though they were having the most fun and were full of energy.
Tom's dance was disappointing somehow, he might be in the dance off.

Sweetpeasue Sat 20-Nov-21 20:23:09

YesCalendargirl couple's choice can so often feel as though we're not seeing real dancing--much more of a theatrical performance. I don't mind if it's a balanced blend of both. Yes, I get that Tilly's performance was meant to play the rebellious schoolgirl, which she portrayed well--but, IMO, there was too little of dancing involved.

Sweetpeasue Sat 20-Nov-21 20:26:13

Has anyone got a bucket of water for Sparklefizz?

I liked AJ’a dance. Her footwork was amazing. I thought Dan continues to improve, probably his best dance, though how he didn’t get better marks for those swivels I don’t know.
I wasn’t as impressed this week by Giovanni and Rose, but I think that was partly to do with how much I enjoyed last week.
I agree with Sweetpeasue about the lack of dance content in Tilly’s dance.
I got the feeling that the marks had already been decided before the program to manipulate the public vote. Probably completely untrue, but my gut reaction. It usually feels like that around this stage in the competition.

Kim19 Sat 20-Nov-21 21:34:47

My votes went to Dan.

Dinahmo Sat 20-Nov-21 21:37:46

Rose and Giovanni's dance was conventional ballroom, as was AJ's and Kai's so they're not as exciting but thought that both couples danced beautifully. I thought that the judges were right when they said that Tom and John were being over cautious and I suppose that they are trying really hard to stay in the competition. It's getting more difficult to decide who is to leave.

honeyrose Sat 20-Nov-21 22:01:28

AJ and Kai - I really loved their dance. AJ is so elegant and light on her feet, beautiful. Tilly and Nikita - can’t understand where a full 40 mark came from! It was good - but certainly not that good. Motsi’s hair. Oh. My. God. ?

Pheeew, glad it wasn't just me. Didn't like it at all, so clumpy and heavy!

So hope Rose will win.

BigBertha1 Sat 20-Nov-21 22:07:49

I live ve Strictly but I was bored too tonight.

Hellogirl1 Sat 20-Nov-21 22:35:26

I enjoyed the show tonight, but didn`t agree with Tilly and Nikita`s marks. I thought AJ and Rhys were the best tonight.

grannyactivist Sun 21-Nov-21 03:00:02

I think that Johannes and John have peaked; their dance seemed to be a bit flat and to be honest I end up watching Johannes more than I do John.

Rose is my absolute favourite contestant, she’s just brimful of determined enthusiasm. AJ dances like a pro and could easily have a new stage career after this. Tilly’s dance was absolutely suited to her abilities and I doubt we’ll see her in the bottom two tonight. Tom is a good dancer, but he’s nearing the end unless he can show more emotion - he’s another that is a bit ‘flat’ I think. Dan has improved so much that I think he’s now a very credible dancer. Rhys is frenetic and quite exhausting to watch - I suspect he may be in the dance-off this week.

Had anybody heard of Craig’s replacement before tonight?

BigBertha1 Sun 21-Nov-21 06:39:58

Yes I had had seen Cynthia recently at the Festival of Remembrance...beautiful voice. She has lots of awards for her work in musicals. She plays Aretha Franklin in a biopic. She is featured in Vogue this month...read it in the hairdressers.
