I like the one for McCain chips, with all the children (although it sometimes makes me want to cry)
I hate the one for McDonald's, with all those people laughing. I like to see people being happy, but find it so irritating as it seems to go on for ages (does anyone actually get so excited about burgers?)
Chardy. The boy who takes the cake for his sister is Will in Corrie. Good lucking boy.
I didn't know that. Thanks. (Religiously watched Corrie for 40+ years, and for no reason stopped, went cold turkey with Corrie and EastEnders, and have never watched them since!)
One that really annoys me lately is Hello Fresh, where they try to tell you that it’s going to save you money because you won’t be wasting food. ‘Less waste equals more money saved!’ Or words to that effect. And so by implication saying that wasting a lot of food is perfectly normal.
Can’t think of any that I actually like, sorry! Mind you we very often record and whizz through them.
I like the Halifax one, where an older lady goes out to the market, chats to stall holders, then sits on a bench which is obviously a memorial seat to her late husband. She has a bunch of flowers with her. She looks pensive but serene, then a little toddler runs up and hugs her, followed by his mummy, the older lady is his granny.
I like the yodelling one, is it a pizza thing? I never take any notice of what they are advertising I like the policemen with the high voices in the car advertising some sweets or other Cannot BEAR any celebrity advert, greedy so and so’s, Carol vordeman, Debbie McGee, rylan, schofield Jenny eclair and her dry bits, puts me right off
The Verisure Alarm add, two couples talking about alarms, one woman says they should get one. I don't know why but she really annoys me, I get so wound up every time I see her. I like the Haribo one with the policemen in a car.
Dislike the ‘Just Eat’ ones encouraging people to eat a variety of unhealthy fast foods. Surprised to see these adverts at Wembley too. Favourite advert is Lloyd’s Black Horse.
I find there’s a few really unusual ones that have caught my notice at present. The Green Flag one makes me smile, the Malteser ones are a bit groundbreaking (using sign language, the maternal mental health ones, etc) but funny. Yes, love the full length Ocado one too.
Yes, I recognised him when he first appeared in Corrie.
I posted on another thread that I think Sam from Corrie features in another advert, can’t recall what for. He looks younger, same sort of hairstyle but no specs.
The boy pinching the cake for the sister, don’t particularly like it, but a) I think he and the girl look alike, are they brother and sister in RL and b) why was the girl not at the party?
I love the fairy liquid one with the baby on the sponge, I think that is very inventive and clever…. Can’t stand any adverts with Philip Schofield in or Ryland (is that his name? The one with the extraordinarily white teeth!)
Find it interesting that many personalities working full time on tv pay lip service to the current plight of their colleagues and yet are so unbelievably over exposed on adverts and other programmes as well as holding a regular slot of their own.
I am currently hating the one where they show lots of different people laughing, don't even remember what it is advertising. One day it followed a particularly sad documentary and it struck me as being in very poor taste.
