Yes - finally. About to start tonight. 7 episodes. This is in my top three of great crime drama series. The Bridge is second with Shetland third.

The phone will be on silent and MrM had better not interrupt my pleasure. I think he's tempted to watch it though.

Jed Mercurio never ceases to come up with a great story line. Series 3 was probably be best so far for me.

Husband showed me a photo today of Kate and Jo standing beside each other. Jo with hands in air, Kate with hands down by her side. Police car with flashing blue lights beside them. No sign in photo of bad boy Ryan. This may of course be a set up photo. Can’t wait until Sunday.

How did Jo plan to get away with killing Kate? Didn't she think that if you say, in effect, "Don't meet me in the pub, meet me in a dark, deserted lorry park," they might be suspicious and tell someone? Particularly if they have been an undercover cop with a history of dealing with bent coppers? How would she have explained that she asked Kate to the meeting where she was killed?

I fear that Ryan may be dead but I hope not. He was an excellent baddie.

Considering Steve's serious back problem, it doesn't seem to hinder him. He was able to get bounced around in the armoured car last week and still shoot someone through an open window, and he ran like hell to the workshop when shots were fired. Of course, he does have the impotence problem, and the addiction. Is he ever going to get a drugs test?

Are there any plot spoilers on the podcast? (before I watch). It’s the best thing that’s been on TV for ages. Worth the licence fee on its own!
I thought Adrian Dunbar was good on Have I got News last Friday.

Podcast was good - Vicky McClure was interviewed.

Atqui My MrM wanted to know what all the fuss was about and watched the first with me. I've seen all the series twice through.
He had so many questions whilst watching it so decided not to watch any more. He's now working through the other series.

Jaxjacky. I'll watch them all again?

I agree about the abbreviations. with a clinical background I am used to a lot of acronyms but I think the writer is making a lot of these up and including them for the fun of it.

Callistemon, thanks for your summary on definitely and the link.
I’ve just found a flaw. This iPad corrects definitely every time I try to use an A

So does my tablet. I had to persist

Atqui Mon 19-Apr-21 11:04:50

Or be a member or ex member of police force!!

Purplepixie Mon 19-Apr-21 10:20:24

Jane43 I am just the same. I love the programme but I am beginning to think I need a degree to follow it.

Jane43 Mon 19-Apr-21 10:18:24

It was a great episode but the number of abbreviations used made my head spin.

Sunday evenings will be so empty in three weeks!

Pittcity Mon 19-Apr-21 08:56:07

PIM is post incident manager.

Jack Dee has tweeted that it's quicker to say Gun Shot Wound than GSW!!

LullyDully Mon 19-Apr-21 08:24:23

Not only do I need a note book for yesterday's episode but also I need to review all the series, I am getting people muddled somewhat.

baubles Mon 19-Apr-21 08:22:53

Could Carmichael be H? All the talk of a fourth man may be yet another red herring.

I just asked Alexa who is H smile??

Atqui Mon 19-Apr-21 08:14:55

But... can’t wait for next episode?

Lucca Mon 19-Apr-21 08:14:21

Is Anna maxwell martin character a tad OTT ?

Also what’s a PIM ?

Atqui Mon 19-Apr-21 08:13:16

Thanks Maggimaybe too. Can’t believe I spend an hour watching a tv drama , and then more time reading blogs ( are they blogs?) trying to work out what’s going on. Note to self , Don’t get sucked into something if you have missed series 1-4!!

That's a good idea Amberstone, I need a notebook to keep up, last night was a cliff hanger. Are there really so many villains in our Police?

grandmajet Mon 19-Apr-21 07:58:21

Thanks for the link, maggiemaybe, it answered a few questions.

Atqui Mon 19-Apr-21 07:30:25

Sorry Callestemon

Atqui Mon 19-Apr-21 07:29:59

Thanks Calledtemon

Calendargirl Mon 19-Apr-21 07:20:40

Two shots were fired weren’t they?

Our Kate won’t get herself killed, I’m sure. I hope it’s Jo and Ryan, have never liked her.

Hastings and Steve, the AC12 cavalry, wouldn’t have had time to get there surely?

Anna Maxwell Martin is so scary.

I was on the edge of my seat tonight but I managed to follow more than usual although acronyms were creeping in again. I cannot believe there are only 2 episodes left-Ted had better get a move on to find H if he does not want early retirement.

muse Sun 18-Apr-21 23:22:43

Can't believe there are only 2 eps left.

Jo doesn't carry a gun. I think Ryan shoots Jo to shut her up.

Going to have to watch it again tomorrow.
