Yes - finally. About to start tonight. 7 episodes. This is in my top three of great crime drama series. The Bridge is second with Shetland third.

The phone will be on silent and MrM had better not interrupt my pleasure. I think he's tempted to watch it though.

Jed Mercurio never ceases to come up with a great story line. Series 3 was probably be best so far for me.

Did anyone watch Goodbye Christopher Robin last night? Jo Davidson was his nanny!!

Charleygirl5 Sun 25-Apr-21 12:15:35

I have a feeling Kate is a goner. Jo did not have a gun. A lot depends on how long it takes Hastings and co to get there if there will be anybody at the site apart from dead bodies? Anybody in their right mind, apart from Kate, should scarper.

I am sure Ryan has met his maker.

Tonight's the night when we discover who shot who. I believe Ryan will be wiped out, which will be so annoying. I was enjoying him being secretly watched, and how brilliant if they had used him for a sting to catch H and the OCG. After all the bad stuff he has done he should be forced to help the Police and bring his mates to justice.

I love the dolls. If I sometimes think of ditching Gransnet it’s posts like this keep my interest smile

Are there any plot spoilers on the podcast? (before I watch). It’s the best thing that’s been on TV for ages. Worth the licence fee on its own!
I thought Adrian Dunbar was good on Have I got News last Friday.

I thought he was excellent. The way his one liners and the usual initials and acronyms were written into the script made it a very funny watch.

Can we see the Ted and Kate dolls in a graffiti-covered underpass please?? grin

They really look like them!

Chestnut Tue 20-Apr-21 16:12:09

You missed out Kate ?

Calendargirl Tue 20-Apr-21 16:08:20

Oh, the Steve Arnott one is so sweet!

?

cornishpatsy - ???
I love the knitted dolls. I want them! I'm sure if someone made some dolls they would sell like hot cakes.

Radio Times for Sunday 25th doesn’t list Kate or Ryan in the cast members. Mother of God. Can’t wait. Eek.

Callistemon

Jed Mercurio must have a fantastic brain to keep all these characters and storylines linked, like one huge spider's web.

I wonder if he keeps a spreadsheet or a kind of 'family tree'. ?

I suspect when he is working his office looks like the offices of AC-12 ? Pictures, notes, post-its all over the place with arrows between them to link them...

Atqui Tue 20-Apr-21 14:31:45

Except for what he said to Kate when she told him he was just a boy. But perhaps that’s another clue

Atqui Tue 20-Apr-21 14:30:28

If Ryan dies will they ever know it was he who killed Corbett and that poor police driver

Charleygirl5 Tue 20-Apr-21 13:03:35

I cannot think of a TV programme which outclassed this one-I could watch it every week and not get bored as it is so well written.

Callistemon Tue 20-Apr-21 12:34:55

Yes

Follow that if you will, BBC!

kittylester Tue 20-Apr-21 12:26:52

Anyone else thinking that they don't want to watch next week as it means it's nearer the end?

cornishpatsy Tue 20-Apr-21 12:08:12

Just seen these on Facebook, so recognisable.

Charleygirl5 Tue 20-Apr-21 11:36:37

I think Kate shot Ryan x2 and finishes him off and she gets injured but does not die from that shootout. Jo did not have a gun- I think she survives.

Atqui Tue 20-Apr-21 10:41:12

If he does , I’d like a copy!

I'd missed those first time round so binge watched them recently.
Yes, she is excellent (and not a scrap of makeup by the look of it!).

Iam64 Tue 20-Apr-21 08:27:35

Callistemon - I suspect I need Therapy. I sat down last night to watch episode 1 of series 2, to nudge what’s left of my memory into remembering Tommy Hunter. It reminded me what a good actor Keeley Hawes is.

Callistemon Tue 20-Apr-21 08:08:18

Thanks Iam64

Sometimes I think I need to watch every episode twice!

Iam64 Tue 20-Apr-21 08:04:28

Kate agreed to the suspicious meet place because she believed surveillance was in place. She didn’t know Carmichael had arrived and pulled it. Thank goodness she texted her mate

Chestnut Tue 20-Apr-21 00:10:49

Bluecat I agree the suspicious location for the meeting was was just not normal, and likely to have alarmed Kate. Can't work that one out yet.
I also hope Ryan survives, although the game is over now his OCG identity is officially known. He can't go back to working with the Police and we can't spy on him any more, which I was enjoying! Maybe he will be used to set the gang up for a sting. I really hope he plays an important role in catching them!
