keepingquiet I would love to watch more BBC but I'm up to here with competitionshows...interior design,pottery,sewing,baking,cooking,dog grooming, dancing, singing etc etc. Cheap tv because I'm sure none of the participants get remunerated, and all,except one, have to suffer the pain of being eliminated.
Grr..I just watch Sky Arts and even then I record it so I can skip the adverts!
Sorry, the pandemic is getting to me!

I agree- the ads were probably produced long before Covid but I agree they haven't caught up with or changing perspective. Having said that I know of people planning holidays as if Covid had never happened either!

My solution? Watch the BBC!

With you 100%. My email box fills daily with companies trying to tempt me into booking a cruise (never again) or an exotic vacation. I would have to be extremely gullible to book now when the future is such an unknown.
We mute TV adverts as a matter of course.

We're all watching more tv at the moment I'm sure. Inevitably there are adverts. One advert in particular is making me vow never to use that company's product. It begins with a girl diving into water and continues as she goes on safari, attends a festival, treks through the jungle etc and then ends with her lying on a beach lounger. We are advised to "find our escape, find our surprise" etc. How insensitive and irresponsible is this advertiser? I cant think who it is because it makes me so annoyed I have to reach for the remote! Wouldnt we all love to even PLAN an escape if it was at all feasible. I think its Trailfinders. Well they can go and find their own escape in my book. The 'Irish airline' has just been fined for exhorting us to "Jab and Go". As I said, irresponsible and insensitive. My son has three flights still waiting to be refunded.
