I agree re Michael Ball Ellan. Back in the '60s I wanted to be Cathy McGowan and now she's got Michael Ball. Some girls have all the luck.

I adore Michael Ball. He's such a versatile entertainer and a great singer when he couples up with Alfie Boe.
I've known Jason Manford to join up singing with the pair of them and it's fabulous.

Celeste is amazing. She wrote the song which is used for the John Lewis ad and is just at the start of her career. She reminds me of Eartha Kitt, same kind of delivery. The song is very apt for this year.

I just don't like Gary Barlow so muted tv when he was on!

Oh yes our DGD would have been trying it when she was small!

He did a programme where he sang opera. He was great. I thought those acrobats (are they still called acrobats?) were brilliant.

I called them gymnasts but apparently they're acrobats.
Better not let DGD see it, she will be trying this at home!

I didn't realise he had such an amazing voice.

Luckylegs Tue 08-Dec-20 21:15:47

It’s Jason Manford, who is a comedian and presenter and does a lot for charity. Well, I think he’s funny anyway.

Anniebach Tue 08-Dec-20 20:47:57

Just switched on, who is the presenter , he thinks he is funny

merlotgran Tue 08-Dec-20 20:42:33

Well, there's nothing else on!

We've been laughing that things have come a long way, in a downward direction, from the Pavarotti days.
