Well we traditionally have a thread - so I am starting one.

All mothers of contestants are strictly (!!!) barred!

I'm rooting for JJ Chalmers! (I hope that's his name)

Sparklefizz Sun 06-Dec-20 20:02:39

Both could go home!

As an aside, what does Diane see in Joe Sugg?

He was on Countryfile!
I said to DH "why is a reality person on Countryfile?" But apparently he trained as a thatcher.
?

Sparklefizz Sun 06-Dec-20 20:04:45

What I meant was neither couple is up to being in the semi's.

Sparklefizz Sun 06-Dec-20 20:06:15

Callistemon You're right. Apparently he was a thatcher and a rising star on YouTube (I think it was YouTube).

EllanVannin Sun 06-Dec-20 20:07:06

Don't forget CH4@9pm---Escape to the Chateau.

Sparklefizz Sun 06-Dec-20 20:08:00

I don't like all this guff at the end.

Ellianne Sun 06-Dec-20 20:08:12

Ooh yes, sorry, it was the Mother Superior in the abbey, but the musical score is played at the end of the film as the family walks over the mountain with Maria.
So both! grin

What is the matter with Amy?

Is she not well?

Callistemon Sun 06-Dec-20 20:09:18

Well done to JJ and Amy, both have overcome adversity to reach this far.

Sparklefizz Sun 06-Dec-20 20:10:17

She's got Crohn's Disease, I think.

Casdon Sun 06-Dec-20 20:10:26

She’s got Crohn’s disease, she suffers really badly - she’s a real trooper.

mokryna Sun 06-Dec-20 20:10:29

She has Crohn's I think, which causes flare ups necessitating hospitalisation.

Grannynannywanny Sun 06-Dec-20 20:11:27

Jamie was lucky to survive the dance off with the judges opinion divided.

Callistemon Sun 06-Dec-20 20:12:11

Some posters must type really quickly
grin

She has Crohn's Disease and made a documentary (shown earlier this year) about her battle with it and how others cope.

ginny Sun 06-Dec-20 20:12:34

I think the right person went tonight. Next week I think it it should be Bill and/ or Jamie.

That singer was dire but Anton and Diane's dance was beautiful.

EllanVannin Sun 06-Dec-20 20:13:42

Crohn's is a terrible illness, poor girl. It knocks the stuffing out of you.

Callistemon Sun 06-Dec-20 20:15:22

Yes, a friend of mine has it.

Calendargirl Sun 06-Dec-20 20:15:35

Thanks everyone. Had never heard about Amy and her Crohn’s disease.

Kate1949 Sun 06-Dec-20 20:15:42

Amy runs a dance studio around these parts. My sister used to go to her zumba classes. She said she's lovely.

Millie22 Sun 06-Dec-20 20:16:21

Singing awful that's a hard song to sing unless you're in an abbey. Dancing excellent.

As an aside, what does Diane see in Joe Sugg?

I like Joe a lot. I think he has a fun side but is quieter than Diane. I think he will develop!

Grannynannywanny Sun 06-Dec-20 21:27:29

Joe comes across as a likeable character. He’s a very popular Youtuber with millions of followers and he’s a millionaire as a result.

If all else fails he has his skill as a roof thatcher to fall back on. His sister is also a highly successful YouTube personality. I think she goes by the name of Zoella.

Not that I’ve ever seen them on YouTube but I’ve been reliably informed by my 2 oldest grandchildren.

Youtubers/Bloggers/Influencers I don’t really get what it’s all about. I wish I did as the earnings potential appears to be huge. And you can do it all from the comfort of your own house. The perfect job for 2020!

Could it be the fact that he's a very nice person.
