I agree Avor2, I think they will have to be very careful these days! As the slightest thing could and probably would be misconstrued! Years ago there weren't the same constraints so I think the producers could be up against all sorts. For me that's good,but obviously disappointing for some.

Barmeyoldbat (I love the name!!) I sometimes think it's best to try and ignore. Confrontation only seems to fan the flames which is a waste of energy, time, and pointless! Some people are as they are and you just have to leave it at that!

Complaining about someone other than me is a start. I hope Gaby (must be a newbie) is robust enough to withstand your objections to whatever language she used. Perhaps she's dyslexic and hasn't the command of language that some of us have. Don't be too harsh.

Never saw Spitting Image first time around, so won't bother if there is a second time. Never could see anything amusing in people being laughed at or ridiculed in any way cheap entertainment I think.

Laughing at them was a good release.. I can still remember John Major all grey eating peas. But most I have forgotten.

I don't believe politicians are thin skinned nor most celebrities. I think that they lap up any attention after all that is what most of them seem to crave.
