Not often I watch or have time for TV so from my sofa (suitably surrounded by tissues, inhalers etc.,) I shall attempt to stay awake for this on the tv today. Starts 1400hrs on Drama channel. Recording it too as it ends at 2000 hrs, then I can dip in and out.

The book was a trusty companion on long journeys for quite a while, but I have never seen the series.

I saw the TV adaptation with Adrian Edmondson but I couldn't live through it again but enjoy!!! No Dr Zhivago this year that was always my 'cant move from the sofa' film.

I loved the recent adaptation of War and Peace.I am saving it to rewatch,alongside The Crown, for when DH is away and there's not much on TV generally.

Well it is the 2016 Andrew Davies version and surprise surprise I nodded off so ..............
