Following on from the thread asking for help identifying a book, I thought, what a brilliant idea! I have been trying for decades(!) to identify a horror/murder film, black-and-white, which has the scariest scene I've seen: a woman is in an upstairs room and a man is coming after her; someone is on the phone to her trying to get her to lock her door, meanwhile we see the man's feet going silently up the stairs, getting ever closer.. at last she goes to the door and locks it - only to turn around and see the man crouching behind a chair. Ooh just the memory of it still sends shivers down my spine!
Can anyone identify this film - I'd love to watch it again!!
Anyone else struggle with this?
