I spend a lot of time in front of the tele and some of the series I have enjoyed are Marcella, Peaky Blinders, How To Get Away With Murder, but I need suggestions now please as can't seem to find anything that makes me want to try it. Apart from catch up I have Netflix and Nowtv and would appreciate your recommendations smile

HI dontaskme have a look at the Netflix thread we have been putting some suggestions on there. I am laid up at the moment so watching a lot of Netflix. I saw a film called Focus last night which was very good. will Smith who I don't usually care for a bit of swearing not too much and part of the plot. Enjoy your viewing an let me know if you find something good.

Thank you Teetime, I hadn't looked on that thread before as thought it was just about cost/subscription so have a few ideas to try now. I like a bit of crime, violence, whodunit and can't stand sloppy lovey slow stuff - there's so much to chose from but tbh a lot of it is so flipping old! I'm going to try your film suggestion this afternoon smile

If you don’t mind subtitles I can highly recommend the “Walter Presents” series on Channel 4 .

On Netflix there is a series titled 'Making a Murderer' - highly recommend if you like a 'bit of crime' - it is a true story, DH and I found it really interesting

Dontaskme my daughter recently recommended a film "Prisoners" on Netflix. (I haven't watched it yet, it has a great cast).

Can you access BBC IPlayer ? If you haven't got it on your TV you can download the free app easily on your IPad.

I have been recommending to everyone who will listen 'Keeping Faith' on BBC IPlayer. I am just about to watch the last time episode. It is set in Wales and a mystery story. I have loved it.

If you like a mystery with a bit of fantasy try Stranger Things. There are two seasons, I've watched the first season and was hooked. Must watch season 2 as DD says it's just as gripping. I also enjoyed The Cobbler, a film with Adam Sandler, but not his usual comedy. R.I.P.D. is also good, about a US Cop in the afterlife!? And, if you want to be completely confused Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency is good.

PS these are all on Netflix.

Stranger Things is fab.

BBC I Player film category often has good films that seem to have missed the cinema blockbuster general releases.

Seven Seconds is a new series on Netflix, a bit dark about police in New Jersey who hit a black boy with their car and cover it up, a non corrupt police officer tries to find the truth. There’s 10 episodes.

Thank you all for so many suggestions - they'll keep me going for a bit. The only one I've seen is AyjayF suggestion This Country - brilliantly funny smile - so a lot to be getting on with. Thanks again
