We love this little Scottish comedy. This is a new series. About 3 sets if neighbours. The women are the real stars. Everyone turns up in Beth's house where she ends up feeding them and supplying them with drink.
Cathy and hubby the 'posh' couple who like a drink. Then Christine the single woman with a sharp tongue. Also Beth and Colins gay son and partner add to the mix. If you haven't seen it give it a go. BBC2 Monday night 10pm

Series 3 ep 1. Fish Supper

She sent me the flag of Brazil grin

NanKate the very first episode, a one hour pilot, was very funny. That's where the viewer got to know the characters.

Just found this series on BBC IPlayer I will give it a whirl. I haven’t found any modern comedies amusing recently let’s hope this breaks the mould.

We enjoy this too, we actually know someone mutton-dressed-as-lamb-with-a-drink-in-the-hand like Cathy! I'm waiting for Beth to tell them all to shove it! grin - not Colin of course.

Yes Coolgran we enjoyed Derry Girls pity the poor English boy. Claire the clever one is actually 31 I believe playing a 16 year old

Love it. Only came across it a couple of weeks ago. Also love Still Game.

Another good one set in Derry, Northern Ireland...... is Derry Girls. The series is finished but may be on catch up. So funny, laugh out loud funny, but beware the language is very strong.

Tegan2 Thu 15-Feb-18 12:41:09

Is the first series on catchup?

Pittcity Thu 15-Feb-18 09:01:53

"Just a little mug of Bacardi to take to bed...." , why didn't I think of that?

overthehill Thu 15-Feb-18 08:56:32

Yes it's a shame daughter Sophie isn’t in this series.

PoshGran Tue 13-Feb-18 20:16:09

Marydoll Tue 13-Feb-18 19:51:37

Another fan here. It is such a tonic.

I particularly love Christine. She is a Fabulous character. Always scrounging + being so tactless.

POGS Tue 13-Feb-18 19:04:16

This series is as good as the last and it still makes me laugh, it's perhaps even better.

It must cost a fortune feeding and watering the neighbours I think I would put a lock on the door. smile

Pittcity Tue 13-Feb-18 15:05:09

We love it here.grin

pensionpat Tue 13-Feb-18 14:56:39

Have just discovered this. Love it!

Smithy Tue 13-Feb-18 13:22:57

Agree, it's really good. Rather reminds me of Still Game, which was also set in Scotland. I've got a box set of that, brilliant!

Greyduster Tue 13-Feb-18 11:07:54

We absolutely love this programme - it is the only thing on tv that makes me laugh out loud. Isn’t Cathy excruciatingly, hilariously awful? Wonderful cast.

merlotgran Tue 13-Feb-18 10:58:03

I saw a NYE special a couple of years ago and thought it was the funniest thing I'd seen for ages.

Loving this new series.
