I confess, I am watching it. Someone phoned me Monday night and told me Anne Widdie and Rachel Johnson were in there. I think Widdie is great , met her once when she was here canvassing.

It has been women only to celebrate 100 years of women given the vote, sadly men are going in tonight.

Agreed dannirae I will also miss it. My partner will not though he hates it, so it is nice to come to this forum and discuss.
I also agree that Wayne and Amanda was wonderful last night. Sh ane's stirring backfired and caused Amanda to call him out on the skirt incident. It was so oviosly staged.
Shane comes across a obsessed with Ann, and I think he is frustrated that others are not agreeing with him, and that Ann holds her ground well.
To be honest I think alot of us were wrong about him, and I feel Ann has seen what he is like all along.

I like Amanda , she is lesbian but has no problem with people who have different opinions on same sex marriages even though she is married .

I like Shane L, he listens to others not just talks about himself .

I like Ann because there is no pretence , she is as she has always been and isn't unkind or bitchy . I was amused when Glastonebury was mention ?

Devorgilla Mon 29-Jan-18 12:17:28

I would be happy to see Ann or Amanda win from the women as they have done something else with their lives other than just be a 'wannabe celebrity'. I would also be happy with Shane L. He seems to understand the problems women face and is very supportive of their rights to equality etc. Either Jess and Ashley are playing a canny game or that are out of their depth, given the other characters in their age range. Shane J and Melika have both since day 1 tried to drive a wedge between the rest of the house and Ann. I look forward to seeing how Shane J digs himself out of this hole of his own making.

wot Mon 29-Jan-18 09:33:34

Indeed, Annie, well said! X

Anniebach Mon 29-Jan-18 08:38:12

I didn't like him from day one, that accident ! with his clothing did not ring true . I very much doubt Ann will win but it would be great if she did . The year of the woman , who better to win than Ann ?

DanniRae Mon 29-Jan-18 08:34:37

Oh but I am loving this series - I record it and watch it as soon as I get up because my husband wouldn't want to watch it. My daughter usually watches it too but decided not to this year so it is great to be able to come on here and read what every one else is thinking and great too that we all seem to agree! Thank you CBB watching GNetters! But I will really miss it when it finishes next Friday (?) x

DanniRae Mon 29-Jan-18 08:29:55

I really liked Shane J and thought he HAD a good chance of winning but not any more. He is definitely showing his true colours, as has already been said. I feel cross with myself for being fooled by him into thinking what a great bloke he is. I even told my husband all about this man who is so articulate and smart - was I ever wrong. I hope he goes in the next eviction. I really like Jess but I am starting to think that maybe Ann will win - so be it. I am fine with that. But weren't Wayne and Amanda great to stand up to Shane J? (I said straight away that I felt Courtney's skirt dropping was deliberate!!)

seacliff Sun 28-Jan-18 22:50:38

I just hope Shane doesn't win. I don't really mind who else does, but he will be so unbearable smug if he DOES win. Apparently he has a lot of supporters, who do vote.

Not that it really matters in the greater scheme of things.

rafichagran Sun 28-Jan-18 22:36:17

Shane J is definatly showing his true colours. He tried to take Ann on saying she lacked compassion, she retorted back and made him look a fool.

He tried to get Wayne on side and failed, he spoke to Amanda and she told him in no uncertain terms the dress malfuntion was deliberate, and she is taking no shit. I think people are now seeing through the little victim.
I do not agree with alot of what Ann believes in but as a HOUSEMATE I have find her honest, true to her opinions and very funny at times and that is how she should be judged. Shane J whinged again about Ann tonight not doing the meditation, someone had to remind him Shane L did not do it either, he was not intrested just another chance to try to bully Ann.

seacliff Sun 28-Jan-18 22:19:13

Good on Amanda! Love that she called Shane on the deliberate "dropping his knickers", which was so true.

And that he had researched everyone before coming in, and had made up his mind about Ann. He truly is playing the game, but he doesn't have as many sycophants in there now to back him up - mainly just Malika.

Anniebach Sun 28-Jan-18 22:16:41

He said he checked up on her before he came into the house, he checked her voting record,

Devorgilla Sun 28-Jan-18 22:12:24

Shane J didn't like being told his way of dealing with Ann was unacceptable. If I heard it correctly he wanted Wayne to fight his battle for him. Good for Wayne saying no. Also Amanda telling him his little games were not going to work. Thought it was hilarious when she called him out on the 'dropping of his knickers' as she termed it. He seems very well informed about Ann for someone who allegedly didn't know she was going to be there. I will be interested to see how he changes his tactics.

wot Sun 28-Jan-18 22:08:31

He seemed nice but the veneer is wearing thin showing his true colours. I was impressed with Amanda putting him in his place tonight!

Anniebach Sun 28-Jan-18 21:33:45

I do not like Shane/Courtney , he wants respect and understanding but is unwilling to give them to others

wot Sun 28-Jan-18 21:30:32

He's going darker by the minute!!

wot Sun 28-Jan-18 21:09:40

I'm finding Wayne quite repulsive!

wot Sun 28-Jan-18 18:14:10

Annie rolls her eyes heavenward!!

Devorgilla Sun 28-Jan-18 14:18:37

I am beginning to think that Ann's eye rolling is done deliberately to wind the young up - and it does, every time. Clever game, Ann.

seacliff Sun 28-Jan-18 10:29:26

I hope Shane/Courtney doesn't win, as he is such an experienced reality tv player. He knows exactly what he's doing all the time. Very articulate, but I feel possibly not a very nice person underneath. But I think BB will probably make sure he does win.

I would prefer someone more genuine to win.

Anniebach Sun 28-Jan-18 10:27:17

The men kept their brains in their trousers and have no idea that all women do not keep their brains in their knickers

seacliff Sun 28-Jan-18 10:21:44

Devorgilla - totally agree.

I like and admire Ann in spite of some of her beliefs.

Also there is some very devious editing, we only see what BB wants us to, which annoys me. Apparently in previous years you could see more footage from livefeed, when the housemates were just chatting naturally, and get a true idea of people.

We have missed so many interesting conversations I think, just to sit through all that Andrew/Shane rather boring footage. Still we are not the age group BB is aimed up.

I think it funny that as soon as the boys have gone, the girls are prancing around in the hot tub in their bikinis. Just what the boys wanted to happen, they blamed Ann for the lack of fun. It was not Ann!

Ailsa43 Sun 28-Jan-18 01:21:17

What I like about Ann the most is regardless of who has upset her she never gets the strop with them, no giving them the back of her hand etc, if they've been rude to her she is always willing to listen to what they have to say in mitigation. That's the sign of a mature adult..

I still don't think she should win, CBB needs someone to represent the show particularly if this is potentially the last show of all, so I do believe the twist will be that in the year of the Celebration of emancipated women..to bring it all completely up to modern day, the winner will be a male , and I believe that's going to be either ShaneJ or ShaneL .

Bellanonna Sun 28-Jan-18 01:16:01

I would like to see the other Shane (Boyzone) win. He’s always polite and I would imagine is just being himself. He seems very likeable and doesn’t play to the cameras. But who knows?

Lynnebo Sun 28-Jan-18 00:51:58

Wayne does seem to get gobby when alcohol is flowing!

Devorgilla Sat 27-Jan-18 23:20:17

Well, Ann really has rattled some cages during her time in there. She holds strong views and is not prepared to compromise them just to be popular. As far as I can see she is always polite when explaining why she believes what she does. It seems to me that some of the incumbents don't like being challenged on their life choices. I thought Shane L was very fair to Ann in his comments and accepted there were hidden depths to her if you took the time to find them. Melika clearly has no intention of doing so. I don't think Wayne has read Ann correctly at all. I don't think she seeks world wide attention. I think she just wants a bit of the unusual in her retirement. I had my eyes opened to Shane J last weekend when a friend told me he is far from the angel he likes to appear. I think he enjoys playing both sides to the middle. Sane, sensible Shane J and dippy Courtenay who can get away with murder when in drag. Do so hope CBB gives Amanda and Ann frogmen's outfits. Now that would cap all the other antics.
