So disappointed in Sky Entertainment and Films.

I was offered a one off annual pass to watch Sky Entertainment and Films for £99.99 through Nowtv. I excitedly signed up for this in the hope of lots of Box Sets and Good Films. How wrong could I be.

There are plenty of Box sets and only a few look worth watching. I tried The Good Doctor as Freddie Highmore is such a good young actor, what a disappointment, not his acting but I could anticipate the story line.

Maybe I am not up with modern day films but very few look worth watching.

I need some good recommendations please of things you have enjoyed.

What a waste of £99.99. ?

We havea Sky subscription but don't include the films as we don't often see something we want to watch. We do occasionally pay for a film on Box Office. So, I'm no good as far as suggestions go.

Netflix better value - we don’t have the films but can see Sky Box sets - enjoyed Big Little Lies , the Wire and the Deuce.

Thanks both.

I will try your suggestions Suzied as I have seen the Wire on my offer. I will check out Netflix for when this annual pass runs out.

We have the most basic agreement with Sky covering phone and broadband. The DC all have Freeview and Netflix with BT for phone and broadband and I'd quite like to change, but we just haven't bothered. Inertia!

I was also very disappointed by the films on offer from Sky. I cancelled our subscription. We now have Freesat and buy Netflix. We also have Amazon video thanks to my son's subscription, we can watch anything included with prime. I don't think it's any better than Netflix so when his subscription runs out I won't renew it.

We too share our DS’s Amazon Prime Hilda Can I recommend the 3 series of Outlander based on the fabulous books by Diana Gabaldon. If you like history, romance, the 1940s onwards and the 17th century, oh and a bit of sex thrown in, you won’t be disappointed.

It is Set in Scotland, Paris, America. I am forcing myself not to binge watch.

It can be a bit gruesome at times.
