I absolutely love it. He is like thingy Mangan isn't he and also like the man who was in a funny spy thing with James Corden. I love thingy Mangan. grin

Having watched it all on catchup I then rewatched it. Phoned up my cousin to tell him how good it is [we share the same sense of humour] and he'd done the same. I found myself, throughout the day, thinking of bits of it and sniggering away to myself. It reminds me a bit of [was it] Green Wing, but it may be because the male character reminds me of wotsisname Mangan [sp]. What's great about it is that it works on so many levels. I'm thinking about the party episode now, and the cat man grin...

I love this and I loved Catastrophe. If you have Netflix try Odd Mom Out similar but American vein - very funny.

One of the writers is Sharon Horgan who wrote and starred in a brilliant sit/com called "Catastrophe", very funny albeit rude!.

Motherland is well observed, particularly the Queen Bee/bitch, sure there's one of those in every school. My first experience of "the muffia" when my first one went to school somehow seemed worse than my own school days. They were out in full force, what seemed like every day selling something or other from tressle tables in front of the main entrance, so the beta mothers such as myself had to run the gauntlet while we were pestered to buy tickets for dinner and dances etc. etc. My husband did the school run occasionally and when asked to buy a ticket for such an event he replied "I'll happily give you some money not to come" One of my friends at the time, a single mum, who didn't have spare cash did speak up and said she found it unacceptable to be hassled in this way just trying to deliver her child to school.

This series is so funny and like you Nannylovesshopping I find myself cringing for them. So well observed.

Just found this, so so funny, I am cringing with embarrassment for them all, Tegan2 we must have the same warped sense of humour haha!!
