Prue Leith has tweeted the winner of Great British Bake Off in a Tweet this morning before the final is screened tonight. OOPs!!
Now come on- Mary would never have been so daft.
Unforgivable!
I don't like the new version much anyway - recipes far too complicated. I used to like trying some of the things they made on the old one but this one has been style over substance.
This Faux Pas did make me laugh though.

I'm going out with DD tonight to see Nigella! It's an early Christmas present for her as she's a fan and our other DD would like a copy of her latest book......Sorted!

I have asked DH NOT to tell me who wins GBBO so I can watch it when I get home.

Prue must be kicking herself. I agree....Mary would never have done it.

Must admit, I like Pru much more than Saint Mary Berry, but I am sure she'll be ticked off for her mistake.

Must make sure that I don't look at any sites likely to provide spoilers, but for me there has been one clear winner almost from the outset. Hope I am right!

Prue is in Bhutan and got the time zones mixed up but it has been deleted and she has apologised. I'd be quite happy to know as I'm going out tonight. I hope its Sophie she is consistently good and doesn't flap. If you know and feel like telling me please PM.

I hope to be watching the final tonight as well. I accidentally came across the semifinal (?repeat) on Sunday, and agree the challenge was too complicated. I didn't think any of the efforts came up to scratch.
I've always been more interested in the recipes than the presenters or the bakers.

I used to like Nigella but watched her on TV last night and it was all a bit too contrived, too many flirty looks and seductive tones over the whisk ... all over done. Hope she is better live Merlotgran

You're right N&G She is way OTT with the flirty looks, seductive tones and crap strange recipes but it gives us a good laugh and is she's an antidote to the rather bossy and worthy cooks who dominate TV at the moment.

And.....I Want That Kitchen....Bling an' all! grin

Holding such a major position in the programme she shouldn't touch her phone however many times she checked time zones for at least 24 hours after the show, I'm not too bothered but it could really spoilt it for some people, surely it should be in their contract

You mean to say you don’t do that when you’re cooking N&G?? I thought we all did!

I ve seen it on a Sunday as not much on I think the receipes are totally ridiculous I prefer Prue Leith to Mary Berry but cannot for the life of me see what value the Noel bloke who looks as if he’s just left the stocky Horror show and who stands with his hands behind his back and I keep waiting for him to do a policeman’s knee bend and hello hello hello what does he add to the show totally surplus to requirement and really so is Sandy I sometimes like her role sometimes don’t but neither are really necessity
